What Does Aventus Smell Like?

Upon the first spray, the focal point is the juicy pineapple. It is sweet and fruity. Yet, neither faucet becomes overwhelming. The bright citrus doesn’t have the tart “spiciness” but is zingy.

The main idea of the first 15-20 minutes is fresh and attention-grabbing.

This freshness flows into nuances of musk and wood. The vibrance of the fruits and citruses weakens but leaves their freshness. The wood note is the most prominent. It is a distinct birch note with smoky faucets.

It may not seem to matter if birch is used, but it does. It has a unique woody aroma with a sweet, syrupy nature. It smells different than many other warm wood notes.

The smokiness takes it in a darker direction. At the same time, the musk notes keep it clean and wearable. This combination will be prominent for the majority of the wear.

Into the dry down, there is less of a change. It is the same fresh musk and smoky woods. In the background are hints of leather and warm ambergris. They add depth and make Aventus more masculine.

This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

#10 – Supremacy Silver Afnan

There are a few problems with this fragrance. The first 15 minutes are like Aventus. Yet, a lot sweeter. The more pressing issue is that this loses its Aventus similarity after 15 minutes.

It still has the woods but uses mosses. At this point, the only similarity is that it is masculine. But hey, it still gets leather in the ending!

One last con with this one: the performance is horrible, 4-5 hours on the skin with light projection.

Finally, the positive is that it’s similar to Aventus but not a copy. This is decent if you’re looking for a cheap fragrance with likability.

Give it to me straight: is this worth owning? Honestly, no.

#9 – Insurrection 2 Pure

Is this the cheapest Creed Aventus clone you can buy? Yes. Here’s what you do if someone asks you to pay more than $20 for a 90mL bottle.

RUN.

This has a pineapple opening with a hint of lemon. It takes this fragrance in a fresher and brighter direction than Aventus’.

As the scent develops, you can say bye to the smoky birch ending of Aventus’. Instead, you’re met with a fresh and dry cedar. On the edges, you’ll find tinges of leather.

There are a few downfalls of Insurrection Pure 2. First, the performance could be better. I have doused myself (5-6 sprays) in warm weather and never got more than four hours on the skin with light to moderate projection.

The next downfall is its syntheticness. Does it make me want to scrub it off the skin? No. Yet, it is noticeable.

But let’s look at the bright side. If I only had $20 to spend on a fragrance, I would seriously consider Insurrection Pure 2.

#9 – Mercedes Benz Select

Is there a fresh and tangy start? ✅

The beginning has pineapple and citruses – everything you’d expect. The wrench in the mix comes from the ambroxan in the end.

To a degree, it’s trying hard to mimic the masculine musk in Aventus’. It comes close, but you end up with a warmer and easier-to-wear fragrance.

Am I promoting this as a more wearable Aventus alternative? Not quite. But… its top pro is its $20 price tag and its wearability. And lastly, the ambroxan gives it a nudge higher on the compliment-getter scale.

The only con? Average performance: five hours on the skin with two feet projection.

Now, should you buy this? On Amazon, it’s about $40. I like this fragrance, but the better investment would be Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT (#1).

#8 – Zara Vibrant Leather

Instead of lemon, like the last two, this uses bergamot. It makes nearly no difference in the grand scheme of things.

After this, things get weird. This fragrance has no wood smell, but the leather and musk combination makes this smell like the ending of Aventus.

The biggest con is the horrible performance; it lasts four hours max. The projection is no different. It’s an affordable fragrance but you have to use it so much with each wear that becomes expensive.

The only pro is that you get a similar Aventus smell but with a unique combination of notes.

#6 – Pineapple Vintage Intense

This is its own beast. Obviously, the name tells it all. This is the best fragrance to mimic the pineapple opening of Aventus.

Yet, the back half of the fragrance is vanilla and wood. This trio is an odd combination, but it somehow mimics Aventus in its unique way.

This unique similarity is its biggest pro, along with great performance and likability. This lasts 7-8 hours on the skin with an arm’s length or more of projection.

If it weren’t for the authentic pineapple, this fragrance really wouldn’t be that great.

The only con is its inability to work in the winter.

The last thing you need to know: this is more expensive than many other clones on this list, but it has great performance, is semi-unique, and uses more authentic notes than most.

#5 – Rumz Al Rasasi 9325 Pour Lui Rassi

The lime at the beginning of Pour Lui Rassi makes it stand out. It still has everything all other fragrances on this list have, but a twist (and a good one.)

In the end, you’ll smell more fresh cedar with a vein of Aventus inspiration.

The best thing about this fragrance is its sheer uniqueness. You will smell similar to other clones, but I’m willing to bet that no one else will be wearing 9325 Pour Lui Rassi.

Other pros include good performance (7-8 hours with decent projection), high quality, and wearability for all seasons except the depths of winter.

Its only con/neutral attribute is the heavy use of lime; I enjoy it because it’s Aventus with a twist, but if you want a 1:1, this isn’t your best choice.

#4 – Mont Blanc Explorer

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. There are more accurate Aventus clones than this one. It was popularized as such, but it is simply not.

This has more citruses in the opening than it lets on to be. The back half of Explorer picks up wood and Ambroxan. All in all, the middle portion of this fragrance is close to Aventus, but it’s far from a dupe.

The best thing about Explorer is its overall versatility and wearability. You can wear this in any season or occasion. As for situations, it’s not a superstar for dates, but it still holds its own.

The worst thing about Explorer is the wishy-washy longevity. There are some days it performs great. The next day, in similar conditions, it only lasts 4-5 hours.

#3 – Al Haramain L’Aventure

If you’re looking for a replica of Aventus, this is it. These two are 85% replicas. The only difference is the lack of pineapple intensity in the beginning. After this, they are 1:1.

The downfall is the lack of quality. It is a synthetic fragrance, but nothing that’ll make you want to scrub it off your skin. But for only $35, it’s a deal, even if it’s slightly synthetic.

The performance is great as well. It lasts 7 – 8 hours on the skin with decent projection. It is always noticeable but never shouts for attention.

#2 – Nishane Hacivat

This is a replica: pineapple start and smoky birch end. The biggest difference with Hacivat is its cost. This is by far the most expensive Aventus clone ($200ish).

However, it is also the highest quality. There is never a part of this fragrance that smells synthetic.

Now, I can’t decide whether the performance is a pro or con. On the skin, Hacivat lasts 6 hours, with a near-room-filling projection. I enjoy that it shouts for more attention than Aventus. Yet, I wished it had a bit more staying power.

Besides the “okay” performance, Hacivat has no major cons.

#1 – Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT

It’s a replica of Aventus with more bite in the opening. The first ten minutes have an intense, almost lemon-cleaning wipe vibe, then roll into perfection.

CDNIM EDT lasts seven to eight hours while still being noticeable. If you call a skin scent longevity, it will last until the next day. The projection is two to three feet in the first three hours and then calms down.

The best thing about this fragrance is its affordability. Other than the opening, this is a quality fragrance. You’ll find this for about $35 at any retailer.

Its last benefit is the amazing versatility of any season or occasion. It may not be a compliment king, but it will hold its own.

Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT is the best Creed Aventus clone and the one I recommend most.

If you want a slight variance to this formula, the cologne line has flankers of the EDT version.

My Experience With the Best Creed Aventus Clones

All of the above information is my experience with the best Aventus clones.

However, I keep it as objective as possible. This way, you can objectively decide if this is a fragrance you want to purchase or if you’re comparing a few fragrances. Thus, this section is my subjective opinion.

The best part of many is that they’re all decently affordable. Other than Nishane Hacivat, they’re all under $100, which is a huge plus.

The smells of many are very close to Aventus but never do they retain the same quality.

Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man, for example, is an excellent aventus clone, but the opening 15 minutes are still slightly synthetic. Yet, what else can you expect for a tenth of the price?

The lower-ranked Creed Aventus clones are still similar to Aventus but lean more toward inspiration than a dupe.

I like almost all of these fragrances because, in the pursuit of greatness, they became decent along the way. However, I recommend sticking to the top five if you want a true clone.

How to Pick the Right Aventus Clone For You

Since these are all Aventus clones, all are all-season and occasion wearable. As well as affordable.

This makes it both easier and more difficult as there is no wrong choice. I recommend Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man or Al Haramain L’Aventure. You can always keep buying from this list if you like one or both.
