Calvin Klein CK One was released in 1994. It is based on citruses and greens, and it lasts five to six hours on the skin. In this review, I will describe its smell, performance, and everything else you need to know.

What Does Calvin Klein One Smell Like?
Right off the bat, imagine smashing your nose in a fruit pizza with a tangy twist. It is a unique pair of opposites. On one end, it is a bright and awakening combination of citric lemon and bergamot.
While on the other end, it is a combination of fruity papaya and pineapple. And yes, there is a winner in this tug-of-war. You’ll mostly smell citruses. All of which are supported by a calming green nature. Overall, the first few minutes are very fresh and clean.
After this period, the cirtuses weaken. They don’t necessarily lose strength, but smell watered down. Filling their void is a musk and floral combination. It takes this scent in a cleaner and soapier direction for the rest of the wear.
Now, as we get further and further into the wear, it gets simpler. I pick up a heavy dose of musk, like the smell of clean sheets in the best way possible, and some lingering citruses of greens like nonherbal green tea.
There is a woody cedar that adds depth, and the rest of the wear is this “just out of the shower” freshness.

How Long Does Clavin Klein One Last For?
Now, the performance is as expected from a citrus and clean-based fragrance. CK One will only last about four to five hours on the skin… yeah that’s what I thought, too.
The projection has to be better, right? No. If you want decent projection, you’ll have to douse yourself in this fragrance. At least, if you like polite fragrances, then this fragrance will be right up your alley.
When Can I Wear Calvin Klein One?
Given this intimate projection and scent profile, this is only summer wear. Sure, you can wear it in the cooler temperatures of spring, but you’ll have to sacrifice some performance.
As for occasions, it is just casual wear. Yes, it fits in well for all occasions because it is light, but there’s no other factor to help it stand out when you need to. The last thing you may wonder. Does this get compliments? Some. Would I call it a mega compliment-getter? No.
Final Words
After my summer with CK One, what are my final thoughts? When this bottle runs out, I won’t be replacing it. I enjoyed the scent, and the quality is there. It is very easy to wear. This is the one aspect I like about it compared to the Eternity line.
However, with the weak performance and somewhat expensive price point, it’s not good. A lot of times, it’s being sold for full price, but if you can find it for $20 – $30, it may be worth getting if you either LOVE citrus and green scents or know you like Calvin Klein fragrances.
