Millesime Imperial.
Creed’s best summer fragrance.
Creed Millesime Imperial was released in 1995. It is based on salty marine notes, citruses, and fruity accords. It lasts six hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Creed Millesime Imperial Smell Like?
Upon the first spray, you’re slapped in the face with summer vibes. The opening is fruit and citrus based. There’s a prominent lemon note and an array of fruity ones. The fruits are most reminiscent of melon.
These top notes rest in front of a faint sea salt and musk background. There are marine accords, but only sea salt is prevalent in the first few minutes.
As the opening develops, musk and citrus become a great pair. The contrasting accents of both combine and project a warm and inviting aroma. This pairing lasts most of the mid and leads to the dry down.
Fruity notes are still dominant in the base, but the marine accords really came through. For the rest of the wear, the fruits and citruses are the stars of the show. And salty oceanic notes are present in equal parts.

Performance
Millesime Imperial lasts six hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. It pushes out two feet for the first two hours before receding to a light ambiance around you. The extent of the scent trail is as long as the scent bubble. This fragrance isn’t known for its longevity and projection.
It is exclusively spring and summer wear. One is because the marine and citrus accords best fit the warmer weather. Two, it lacks the depth to last in cool and cold temperatures.
As for occasions, it is all. Usually, a citrus and aquatic fragrance wouldn’t be great for formal occasions. Yet it has a sophisticated creed aroma that works for formal occasions and dates. In casual situations and in the office, Millesime Imperial shines because of the light projection and easy-to-wear aroma.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. There aren’t decisive notes in this fragrance. The citruses, fruits, and marine accords are easy to enjoy.
Creed Millesime Imperial Clones
Millesime Imperial is not a clone of any fragrance, but it does have a decent dupe. Armaf Club de Nuit Milestone has the same prominent marine accord.
However, it lacks saltiness and citruses. Instead of fresh citruses, Milestone replaces them with fresh aromatics. A completely new addition is a prominent woody depth. This gives Milestone a slight edge in both performance and versatility.
Final words
This is priced as a Creed fragrance. The final burning question is, is Creed Millesime Imperial worth it? Yes, it has some apparent cons, like poor performance and versatility. However, the quality and sophistication of the scent sets this apart from many other fragrances.
It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I particularly enjoy the fruitiness combined with the salty marine accord, as it adds a unique twist to a typical summer fragrance backbone. Yet, the fruits never become too prominent, making this “sugary” sweet.
After you try Creed Millesime Imperial, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
