CH Men.
A forgotten hype-beast that is still amazing.
Carolina Herrera CH Men was released in 2009. It is based on leather, vanilla, and wood notes. It lasts five to six hours on the skin with light to intimate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Carolina Herrera CH Men Smell Like?
The opening is a mix of fresh brightness, subtle sweetness, and nuances of grassy notes. Grapefruit is the main culprit of the fresh brightness and sweetness. Interestingly, it barely has a citric accent, pushing the sweetness more than anything.
The grassy note is a green touch to break up the sweetness. In the background is a fleeting dose of saffron spice. It barely lasts to the heart of the fragrance.
As the scent progresses, it continually gets more green and floral. While the spice nuances from saffron linger. At the same time, a wood and leather duo are creeping in. They give a masculine depth and pair perfectly with the sweet accord.
Leather and wood dominate the dry-down. The citruses are gone, but the green freshness has been retained. The rest of the wear perfectly balances sweet masculine leather and wood.

Performance
CH Men lasts five to six hours on the skin with light to moderate projection. It pushes out two feet for the first couple of hours, then recedes closer to the skin. Near the end of the wear, it is a skin scent. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring, fall, and winter wear. It is subtle enough that the sweetness isn’t too overwhelming in the warmer temperatures but can still get intense.
I’ve tried this in the mild temperatures of summer, but it got too intense, even with spray moderation. It wasn’t projecting far and only overwhelming me. You’ll get eight months of wear in a four-season climate.
As for occasions, it is all. But… best suited for dates and formal occasions. The alluring aroma is perfect when you want to stand out. As for all other occasions, it is a light projector that doesn’t overwhelm others.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent; it made my “sexiest colognes for men” list for a reason. It is so likable for the reasons above, subtle, quality, and alluring.
Carolina Herrera CH Men Clones
The most similar fragrance is Homem Verum Natura. I don’t have experience with this fragrance, but based on fragrantica, it lacks sweet vanilla, the leather is less prominent, and musky woods are prominent.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Carolina Herrera CH Men worth it? Yes, this hype-beast is still outstanding. Its biggest downfall is its longevity. The projection is fine, as it is great for intimate situations, but I wish it had better lasting power.
My favorite aspect of the fragrance is the sweetness, wood, and leather pair. Normally, I don’t enjoy fragrances with heavy sweetness, but here it is an alluring mix that never comes off as cloying or decisive.
CH Men is an excellent cologne and an alluring one. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to CH Men. Check out the sexiest colognes for men. All are primed to grab positive attention; you might just find your signature scent.
