Do You Need Bond No. 9 Bleecker Street In 2024? Discover NOW!

Bleecker Street.

One of Bond No 9’s best fragrances for both men and women.

Bond No 9 Bleecker Street was released in 2005. It is based on fruits, woods, and aromatics. It lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with moderate projection.

In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

Quick Summary

  • Bleecker Street is not discontinued. It is still available on the official website.
  • The performance is decent: Eight hours on the skin with moderate and consistent projection.
  • If you’re looking for a fragrance that will stand out, this is the choice for you.
  • This is a great unisex fragrance. It is never too masculine for feminine.
  • This is one of my most recommended Bond No. 9 fragrances.

What Does Bleecker Street Smell Like?

The first 15 minutes are soft, fresh, and green. It is definitely not the scent that will slap you in the face. The greenness is juicy rather than the herbaceousness of a freshly mowed lawn.

This is partially due to the greenness coming from the violet leaf. But also the delicate sweetness of vanilla lingering in the background.

In the mid, the scent picks up a more intense outdoorsy nature. Earthy-smelling woods are added, and the sweetness has carried over. Yet, both are tempered by the green notes.

The dry down still has a degree of earthiness and woodiness, but the two become detached. This makes room for a very well-rounded and sweeter wood base.

Bleecker Street Performance

How Long Does Bleecker Street Last?

Bleecker Street lasts eight hours on the skin with moderate projection. It pushes out up to an arm’s length for the first few hours before receding closer to the skin, never becoming a skin scent.

The scent trail is better. With the fragrance’s sweetness and density, it can stick into the air and create a lengthy trail as you move around. This performance is with three sprays.

When Should I Wear Bleecker Street?

This is spring and summer wear. I’ve tried wearing it in the warmer temperatures of the fall. It developed correctly but didn’t last as long.

The scent profile is also stereotypically for the warmer weather, so I didn’t think it was worth trying to make it work if it didn’t. You’ll get five to six months of wear in a four-season climate.

As for the occasions, it is all. This is great for special events because it has a captivating fruity accent and subtle projection that doesn’t overwhelm during those situations.

Is Bleecker Street Likable?

Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above-average. Bleecker Street is an “innocent,” clean, and woody fragrance. There are no decisive notes about the fragrance.

Everything about the scent is simple and wearable, making this very mass-appealing.

  • Innocent and happy fragrance.

Cons

  • Not as expected from the notes listed.
  • Synthetic or harsh to some noses.
  • Disappointing compared to expectations.

*Note: The last two cons have more downvotes than upvotes.

Is Bond No 9 Bleecker Street Discontinued?

Bleecker Street is NOT discontinued. It is still readily available on Bond No.9’s official website. It can also be purchased for cheaper at retailers and discounters.

If a fragrance is still listed on a brand’s official website, it is still in production.

If not, it is still often in production but delisted and only sold to retailers and discounters. The best telltale sign of a fragrance’s discontinuation is its price skyrocketing on eBay.

I will update this section as soon as possible if I know otherwise. The faster way to find out is through my newsletter. I send out my new articles and any fragrance news. Example: Fragrance discontinuation.

Bond No 9 Bleecker Street Clones

The most similar fragrance is Ralph Lauren Purple Label. The only difference is that it doesn’t have a heavy ozonic accord. It is less fresh and more dense and sophisticated. It is also significantly more affordable.

Final Words

Bleecker Street is one of the best from the brand. It is quality, has great performance, and is very wearable but lacks any wow factor. I recommend a sample or decant, but it’s not blind-buy-worthy.

To me, it’s just expensive office wear. Definitely a nice fragrance, but not for $300.
