What Does Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme Smell Like?
The opening is an expression of youthful confidence. There is green coriander and invigorating lavender. It is slightly soapy but, for the most part, green.
After a few minutes, the orange flower comes into play and blends with neroli and aromatic tones. The heart notes provide richness and create a dense atmosphere. Though thick, it still doesn’t offer the darkness I hoped for.
Into the base, Guilty Black Pour Homme is mostly a patchouli fragrance. If you didn’t know, patchouli is the signature note of Gucci fragrances. It does get “darker” in the base; the patchouli provides a woody undertone.
Guilty Black Pour Homme is slightly seductive and mysterious. Combined with green and woody tones, it compares to walking through a dark forest.

Performance
Guilty Black Pour Homme lasts six to eight hours on the skin with average projection. The first one to two hours pushes out a couple of feet. After this period, it recedes to a light ambiance. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring, summer, and fall wear. I’ve tried it in winter’s warmer temperatures, and it worked but had to be applied heavily. You’ll get 10-11 months of wear in a four-season climate.
As for the occasions, it is all but best for dates. It was made for and smells like a date night scent. However, the projection is subtle enough to be worn in the office or other close-quarter settings.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above average. What’s a date night scent without being likable? This scent’s green, aromatics, and lavender notes are pleasant and mass-appealing. No one will ever find them decisive.
Final Words
There are no clones of Guilty Black Pour Homme, but the original and flanker Pour Homme Parfum are both similar fragrances. All of them are alluring fragrances with the same general idea of fresh greens/citruses at the top with an aromatic and woody mid and base.
The final burning question is, is Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme worth it? No. It is a quality fragrance, but nothing else stands out for the price point. Many other fresh and masculine fragrances on the market are higher quality, better performing, or more affordable.
If you try Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
