Bentley for Men Absolute Review – Your New Masculine Scent

Bentley for Men Absolute.

An affordable and ultra-masculine fragrance for men.

Bentley for Men Absolute was released in 2014. It is based on wood and amber. It lasts seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Bentley for Men Absolute Smell Like?

The first spray is quite invigorating. There is a combination of subtle pink pepper and typical zingy ginger. Both of which are encased and supported by a strong incense note. This trio works exceptionally well together and comes across as very pleasant.

This beautiful opening does not last for long. The mid is almost a completely different scent. Dry woods push their way in, mainly papyrus and cedar. Followed by a subtly resinous nature, all wrapped in an amber and oud duo.

The rest of the wear is softer but all about the amber and oud duo with a resinous nuance. The entire fragrance was never prominent or overpowering at any stage. Yet, it was bold and present, hence the charming nature.

Performance

Bentley for Men Absolute lasts seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. The first couple hours, it pushes out an arm’s length, then recedes to a mild ambiance for the rest of the wear. This is one of the better parts of the fragrance, as the projection makes this fragrance very wearable.

The sillage is better. With this being such a dense and heavy fragrance, it will leave a long and strong scent trail as you walk. The more you move, the better this smell and projects. This performance is with five sprays.

This is exclusively fall and winter wear. In warmer weather, it becomes too overpowering even with spray moderation. As for occasions, it is all. This is why the moderate projection is so nice. It’s subtle enough for close-quarter settings and never overwhelms even with the dense scent profile.

Lastly, mass appeal and likability are average. The smoky incense won’t be to everyone’s taste, and that includes you. If you get complimented, it’ll be because someone appreciates the masculine scent profile rather than an ultra-alluring blend of notes.

Final Words

There is one excellent clone, Gucci Pour Homme (2003). However, its unfortunately been discontinued.

The final burning question is, is Bentley for Men Absolute worth it? Yes, this is one of the best masculine fragrances for men. It’s uncommon to find a fragrance with this unique and quality blend for at or under $40.

I enjoy the fragrance for a couple of reasons. First is the zingy ginger top note. It is subtle but grabs attention and adds the right dose of warmth to the fragrance. Second, the smoky incense. This is the decisive note, but if you enjoy it, it makes the scent much better than if it weren’t there at all.

After you try Bentley for Men Absolute, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
