What Does Guerlain L’homme Ideal EDP Smell Like?
With a mix of spices, Cherry, leather, and almond, take the lead. Out of all mentioned, the almond works most by itself and progressively gets nuttier. The other notes work in unison. Smooth leather blends with the warm spice, and a unique cherry note sits on top.
As the mid develops, all the top notes are retained and have “settled” into position. They are accompanied by floral nuances, specifically lavender and rose. Neither floral is in your face, but they are present and add a charming quality.
The spices fade in the dry-down, and other gourmand notes are coated with a sugary candy-like aroma. Any gourmand note with its unique accord is clumped with the others. This clump lingers in the background of the prominent leather and wood duo. It is a creamy and sweet pairing with leather and wood for the rest of the wear.

L’Homme Ideal EDP lasts eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. From the first spray, it pushes out an arm’s length or more. After a few hours, it recedes to a mild ambiance.
The sillage is as good. The dense sweetness can hang in the air and leave a long scent trail as you move around. This performance is with three sprays. Be careful with the sprays; this isn’t a fragrance you want to accidentally overspray.
This is perfect for fall and winter wear and becomes too cloying in the heat.
As for occasions, it is exclusively for going out and on dates. In any other situation, it’s too intense, and the blend of notes is too unique. Whereas when going out, it can push out and grab the attention of everyone in your vicinity. Make sure you moderate your sprays on dates, as this is a decent projector.
It’s great for dates and going out, so I’m sure you can interfere that it’s extremely mass appealing and likable. This is the best choice if you’re looking for a compliment-getting fragrance that isn’t a typical blue cologne.
Lastly, uniqueness is excellent. Gourmand fragrances aren’t uncommon. However, when you look at all the notes, sweet cherry, almond-vanilla, amber, and leather, they set L’Homme Ideal EDP apart. Guerlain is especially good at incorporating a unique cherry note in its fragrances.
