Aventus Cologne.
The first Aventus flanker.
Creed Aventus Cologne was released in 2018. It is based on citruses, woods, and musk. It lasts four hours with moderate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Creed Aventus Cologne Smell Like?
The opening is a hefty dose of bright mandarin citruses. It has a more refreshing nature than pungent and bitter. In the background is a prominent pink pepper note. I do enjoy that the spice grabs attention but isn’t overpowering.
In the mid, the intensity of the citruses and spices is fading. A prominent vetiver accord is coming through with a variety of accents. It is slightly green and aromatic but mainly woody. Over the rest of the wear, it will become significantly more intense.
The dominant woods in the base is met by musk nuances and a prevalent slightly smoky birch note. This trio of notes is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.
The smoky birch is the only accord that has made it from the Original Aventus to the Cologne version.

Performance
Aventus Cologne lasts four hours on the skin with moderate projection. The first two hours push out to an arm’s length. After this period, it recedes to a one-foot ambiance for the rest of the wear. This performance is with five sprays.
This is exclusively warm weather wear; even though there are woody notes, it still lacks the depth to push through the cooler air. As for occasions, it is all. It still retains this versatility factor from the original Aventus.
The mass appeal and likability are excellent. This has a more stereotypically wearable scent profile that many people enjoy. There are no decisive notes in the fragrance. The uniqueness is average. It is quality and pleasant, but nothing about Aventus Cologne sets it apart from other fragrances.
Final Words
There aren’t any great clones of Creed Aventus Cologne. I have heard people say it’s similar to Aventus, but it’s not. Both share a citrus opening and woody base but still differ significantly.
The final burning question is, is Creed Aventus Cologne worth it? No. The performance is horrible for the price point. On top of this, it is just a flanker with a non-unique scent profile.
If you try Creed Aventus Cologne, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
