Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme was released in 2007. It is based on citruses, spices, woods, and aromatics. It lasts five to six hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme Smell Like?
The opening is led by a duo of prominent grapefruit and bergamot with a hint of sweeter mandarin orange rounding out the explosiveness of the bright citruses. There are light tinges of black pepper spice and a degree of herbal rosemary in the background.
The black pepper is the most prominent. It has an invigorating and attention-grabbing aroma but never in your face.
The base notes are already sneaking in 10-15 minutes into the wear. There is a slight smoky incense and prevalent rosewood. In the background, the woodiness is amplified by oak moss and musk.
The rest of the wear only gets simpler from this point on. Lingering freshness with a prevalent woody base. There are some other lingering notes but not enough to be mentioned.

Performance
Light Blue Pour Homme lasts five to six hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. It pushes out two to three feet at its peak in the first two hours. After this period, it slowly receded and became a skin scent for the last hour of wear. This performance is with five sprays.
This is summer and late spring wear. I tried it in the cooler spring and fall temperatures, but it was simply too weak. As for occasions, it’s great for all. This citrus-based fragrance works well for dates and formal occasions because it still has Dolce & Gabbana quality.
The mass appeal and likability are excellent. There are no decisive notes in the fragrance. It’s easy to get along with and has a subtle projection that won’t overwhelm anyone, even in close-quarter settings.
The uniqueness is slightly below average. Though the fragrance is high-quality, nothing about it is revolutionary. In reality, it’s just a simple and wearable citrus-based fragrance.

Is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue worth it? Yes. This is a great fresh fragrance, more so than the flanker that commonly overshadows it. The biggest selling point of the fragrance is the affordable price. Around $44 for a 4.2oz bottle. Anything above $50, I would reconsider.
Finding a high-quality designer brand with fragrances at this price point is rare. Yet, I recommend checking out Light Blue Eau Intense as you may enjoy it more. And with these fragrances, it’s redundant to own both.
