Louis Vuitton Meteore (2023) Full Review – Why You Need It

Meteore.

A long-lasting summer fragrance.

Louis Vuitton Meteore was released in 2020. It is based on citruses and spices. It lasts ten hours on the skin with above-average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Louis Vuitton Meteore Smell Like?

A simple but quality fragrance. The opening is all about an intense citric orange and bergamot combination. They are juicy and authentic. I’ll talk about this more later, but this is an expensive fragrance. However, you’re paying for the highest quality citrus notes possible.

In the background are various spice notes that progressively get more intense into the heart before fading. Pink pepper is the most prominent; it’s not sharp like black pepper but subtly sweet and smooth – an excellent invigorating addition to the citruses. Clean floral and citric neroli nuances linger but never amount to much.

Meteore skips having a definitive mid and flows quickly into the dry-down. The spices have weakened, and the bergamot has faded. You’re left with juicy orange sitting atop a strong amber and vetiver combination for the rest of the wear.

Performance

The performance is outstanding for a citrus-based fragrance. It lasts ten hours on the skin with moderate and consistent projection. It pushes out two to three feet for the first four to five hours. After this period, it recedes but maintains a mild ambiance for the rest of the wear.

The sillage is as good as the projection. Meteore doesn’t have the density to hang in the air for a while, but it leaves a long scent trail as you move around. I love the projection and sillage of the fragrance as it is present but never too intense or overwhelming. This performance is with four sprays.

This is exclusively spring and summer wear. It doesn’t have the depth for cold weather or stereotypically fits the time of the year. As for occasions, it is all.

The mass appeal and likability are excellent. The fragrance has no decisive notes, and it’s extremely wearable. Who doesn’t enjoy smelling authentic citruses? The uniqueness is average to slightly above average. Yes, it’s a quality blend, but there’s nothing groundbreaking about the note combination.

Final Words

The final burning question is, is Louis Vuitton Meterore worth it? Maybe. It is high-quality, authentic, and a great performer, but many citrus-based Louis Vuitton fragrances exist. I recommend trying Afternoon Swim and Imagination to ensure this is the best fragrance for you.

After you try Louis Vuitton Meterore, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
