One of the longest-lasting Amouage scents.
Amouage Interlude Man was released in 2012. It is based on amber and smoky resins. It lasts 12+ hours on the skin with excellent projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Amouage Interlude Man Smell Like?
The opening will knock you off your feet. Heavy incense, oregano, and pepper lead the opening. If you’re familiar with notes, I’m sure you could see how this is decisive.
The incense is the most powerful and focused on its smoky faucets. Pepper and oregano carry an herbal, medicinal spice.
This trio lasts the first three to four hours. You’ll love the dry-down if you can make it past this point. Incense dies down near the end of this period.
Resinous Myrrh and wood fill its void. They keep the same idea as incense but warmer with a tinge of aromatics.
Give Interlude about half a day. This is when it excels. The dry-down finishes with ambery leather and lingering smoke. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

How Long Does Amouage Interlude Last?
Interlude Man lasts 12+ hours on the skin with excellent projection. It has a room-filling projection for the first three to four hours. After this period, it recedes but maintains an arm’s length or more ambiance for the rest of the wear.
The sillage is just as good. This rich, dense fragrance leaves a long scent trail as you move around. The more you move, the better this smells and the further it projects. This performance is with two sprays.
When Should I Wear Amouage Interlude Man?
This is fall and winter wear. As for occasions, it is best for special occasions or casual wear. You’ll have to moderate your sprays in close-quarter settings as this gets intense.
Open areas and rooms do exceptionally well and let this beautiful juice air out.
Is Amouage Interlude Man Popular?
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are below average. This is definitely a fragrance for acquired tastes. This is an extremely high-quality blend of notes.
But some will say the incense, spice, and resin mixture smells like a musty church (the opening). This may be a decisive fragrance for both you and those around you.
Amouage Interlude Man Clones
There are enough Interlude Man dupes that I could make an entire list of them. According to fragrantica, the most similar is Shaghaf Oud Abyad Swiss Arabian. The scent profile is very similar just seems to be smokier.
