#7 – Escentric Molecules Molecule 02
The opening is powdery and floral, led by a prominent iris note. It has a playful aroma with musky nuances in the background, giving it a sensual touch. The ambroxan stays in the background for the first few minutes and gives room for fresh and floral jasmine.
The mid and dry down is all about ambroxan with deeper musk accents. This is what I smell for the rest of the wear.
This lasts four to five hours on the skin with light projection. After an hour, it becomes a skin scent. This is all-season and occasion wear; you’ll have to apply heavier in the depths of winter.

The opening is a trio of musk, citrus, and florals. Citric grapefruit and orange blossom right way. The orange blossom has a floral nature, but in the beginning, it amplifies the citric nature of the scent. Musk is polite and clean. The pepper note is sharp and attention-grabbing.
The mid stays similar. There are subtle powdery iris additions and warm amber. The spices have weakened, and by default, the floralness of the fragrance intensifies, but only because it fills the pepper’s void.
The base is equal parts fresh florals and citrus with nuances of peppery musk. This is what you’ll get for the rest of the wear.
This lasts eight to ten hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. The first two hours, it pushes out two to three feet. After this period, it sits incredibly close to the skin. This is exclusively spring and summer wear but for all occasions.

The opening is a trio of citric bergamot, Neroli, and pepper. The bergamot and pepper are the most prominent, with a citrusy freshness. The pepper has a degree of earthy and smoky accents not found in many other pepper notes. Neroli adds a slightly sweet tinge but mainly sits in the background.
The citruses subside over time, leaving room for aromatic lavender to make its way in. The heart of the wear is fresh aromatics and some spice nuances. The dry down comes with a leathery depth, while the aromatics and spices are the same strength.

#4 – Chanel 1957 EDP
The opening is bright and sparkling citrus. It is paired with a soft and creamy iris. Initially, it isn’t soapy, but as it develops, it will gradually gain the soapy powderiness iris fragrances are well-known for. The best part about the powder is the intensity without becoming overwhelming.
The base has light additions of white florals. They aren’t prominent but break up the monotony of the powder and keep the fragrance fresh and clean. Softwood and a decent dose of musk sneak their way into the background.
Musk will grow to equal parts as the powdery accords in the base. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.
This lasts seven to eight hours with moderate to light projection. It pushes out two to three feet for the first two to three hours. After this period, it recedes but maintains a one-foot ambiance for the rest of the wear. This is all-season and occasion wear.
Chanel 1957 EDP Performance

A straightforward scent. It isn’t the best clone because it dupes the opening rather than the entire fragrance.
The opening is all about Neroli and Petitgrain. It’s zesty and fresh, like a luxury bar of soap. For the rest of the wear, the scent will stay extremely linear. Adding musk nuances underneath the freshness later in the wear.
This is the type of cologne you use to either layer or if you’re really into simple scents.
Mugler Cologne lasts five to six hours on the skin with intimate projection. From the first spray, it only pushes out one foot and remains that way until it’s a skin scent. This is spring and summer wear for all occasions.

#2 – Acqua di Parma Essenza Colonia
The first 5 minutes are all about the lemon and grapefruit duo. Supported by an orange blossom backbone. The orange accent is not prominent. Instead, it amplifies the citric nature and provides balance with its white floral accents.
After this period, things start to lighten up. A light and green accent makes its way in without undermining the citruses. It helped the cologne transition from a citrus focus to a fresher one.
As the scent progresses, I can tell that this is classically inspired. The mid is all about white florals. At this point, I can only pick up Neroli, while others support the floralness. None of these smell feminine but rather emphasize the freshness from before.
In the dry down, Neroli dominates while a green and musk tinge lingers in the background. The rest of the wear is this trio.
Essenza lasts 6 – 8 hours on the skin with average but consistent projection. The first few hours create a subtle ambiance of one to two feet around you. This is spring, summer, and early fall wear. As for occasions, it is all.
Acqua di Parma Essenza Colonia Performance

#1 – Prada L’Homme L’Eau
A blast of freshness leads the opening, mainly from a mixture of iris and Neroli. Compared to the original, there is less iris but more powder.
Though the iris is fewer, it is still intense. The minutes after the first spray emphasize cleanliness and freshness more than anything. Think of it like a cold lemonade on a hot day.
Once the L’Eau develops some, it gains subtle depth with woods, amber, and nuances of ginger. Ginger is the most interesting because it has a slightly zingy nature to invigorate the senses. At this point, it is very airy. This analogy doesn’t do it enough justice, but it is like a fabric refresher.
The dry down always stays warm. It is powdery and floral led from the first few minutes until the end. In the background, ginger slightly amplifies.
The performance is average. Seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. As for the season, it is a lighter fragrance and is best worn in the summer, spring, and fall warmer months. In the dead of winter, its projection is nonexistent.
