Chez Bond.
Is this really a Creed Green Irish Tweed clone?
Bond No 9 Chez Bond was released in 2003. It is based on fresh greens and woods. It lasts seven hours on the skin with gentlemanly projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Bond No 9 Chez Bond Smell Like?
Is this just a lemon green tea in a bottle? Kind of. The opening is an immediate blast of bright lemon. At first, it will make your eyebrows raise because it is so unexpected. In the background is a mix of notes, but the general idea is greenness.
Now, the most noticeable? A raw tea note and violet leaf. Yes, it maintains the same brightness, but… the violet leaf has an airy and slightly ozonic vibe. Its main idea is to make this scent very fresh.
As the scent develops, the tea note and violet leaf stay at the forefront. But most of the lemon is lost. This takes away the brightness that was so noticeable at first.
With this loss, a heavier green vetiver fills the void while a strong duo of warm woods supports it. This trio is woody but never gets earthy, staying relatively fresh and light.
The last few hours of the wear, the woods get more intense. Yet, the scent never loses sight of its fresh and green blend.
Chez Bond is commonly compared to Creed Green Irish Tweed. The two are similar, but Chez Bond stays on the lighter side. While Green Irish Tweed gets slightly more earthy. Both of which are reminiscent of a spring morning.

Bond No 9 Chez Bond Performance
How Long Does Chez Bond Last?
Chez Bond lasts seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. It pushes out up to an arm’s length for the first few hours before receding closer to the skin, never becoming a skin scent.
The scent trail is average. The fragrance’s woody density can stick into the air, creating a moderate scent trail. This performance is with three sprays.
When Should I Wear Chez Bond?
This is spring and summer wear. I’ve tried wearing it in the warmer temperatures of the fall. It developed correctly but didn’t last as long.
The scent profile is also stereotypically for the warmer weather, so it wasn’t worth trying to make it work if it didn’t. You’ll get five to six months of wear in a four-season climate.
As for the occasions, it is all. This is great for office and casual wear because it has a simple, classy aroma and subtle projection that doesn’t overwhelm during those situations.
Is Chez Bond Likable?
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above-average. Chez Bond is a clean, green, and woody fragrance. There are no decisive notes about the fragrance. Everything about the scent is simple and wearable, making this very mass-appealing.
Bond No 9 Chez Bond Clones
There are a bunch of similar fragrances to Chez Bond, mainly from it being so similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed, which is the most similar fragrance.
The biggest difference is that Green Irish Tweed is exceptionally fresher while being more citrus and floral-focused. While Chez Bond places a heavy emphasis on greenness. Both have similar versatility and price points.
Another great clone of Chez Bond is Davidoff Cool Water EDT. They have similar greens and fresh accords. However, Cool Water lacks a woody base. But Cool Water is significantly more affordable than Chez Bond.
Is Chez Bond Worth It?
Chez Bond is one of the most straightforward Bond No 9 fragrances. This makes it exceptional for office and casual wear. And one of the reasons I enjoy it. I don’t have to think about this fragrance. If it is 60+ degrees out, spray and go.
But is this worth it when another stellar fragrance like Creed Green Irish Tweed is on the market? Maybe, this is more wearable because it is simpler. The violet leaf accord in Creed Green Irish Tweed can sometimes be decisive.
It gives Creed Green Irish Tweed a run for its money. I recommend doing a side-by-side sample or decant test to determine your best choice.
