New York Nights.
Bond No 9’s best gourmand seducer.
Bond No 9 New York Nights was released in 2017. It is based on caramel, floral, and coffee. It lasts eight to nine hours on the skin with above-average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Bond No 9 New York Nights Smell Like?
New York Nights is gourmand from the start. It is a trio of caramel, coffee, and banana…? There is no specific banana note in the scent tree, but it comes off very ripe, think covered in black.
The caramel is at the forefront from the beginning. I enjoy that it is never too sugary. It’s a charming sweetness that pairs well with the other gourmand notes. Coffee plays second fiddle in the background. It is raw and authentic; it has an alluring bitterness like a fresh roast. Not all enjoy the smell of coffee, but it is never overwhelming.
What about the banana accord? There’s none in the scent tree, but there is a banana-like accent in the first few minutes. It is likely a unique combination of florals. I rarely give imagery with scent descriptions. Yet, think of dipping a banana slice in a caramel fountain while drinking black coffee for dessert.
The gourmands lead into the mid and dry down. They meet a decent dose of florals that never smell flowery. They break up their intensity and maintain a tasteful aroma. The rest of the wear is weaker gourmand notes and spice undertones, all atop a light woody base.

Performance
New York Nights lasts eight to nine hours on the skin with above-average projection. It pushes out just over an arm’s length for three hours before receding to about a foot and never becomes a skin scent.
The scent trail is moderate as well. Usually, a dense and rich fragrance like this would stick in the air extremely well, but this does just alright. This performance is with three sprays.
This is fall and winter wear. I’ve tried wearing it in the spring and summer since it doesn’t have a heavy dose of sweetness. But the already loud projection got overwhelming, even with spray moderation.
It’s great to smell delicious all year round, but you’ll, unfortunately, have to choose something else. You’ll get six months of wear in a four-season climate. As for the occasions, this was made for dates only. Everything about this is a statement, “I know I smell amazing, and I want to make sure you can smell it too.”
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. What’s a good date night scent if it’s not likable?
Final Words
Unfortunately, if you like the scent but not the price point, there aren’t any great clones.
The final burning question is, is Bond No 9 New York Nights worth it? Yes, but… only if you’re on the market for a date night exclusive scent. New York Nights’ biggest downfall is its lack of versatility. If you don’t fit the date night mold, save your money.
Only a few other fragrances are as delicious as New York Nights.
