Creed Himalaya Full Review – Everything You Need To Know

Himalaya.

The ice on snow-covered trees.

Creed Himalaya is one of the best Creed fragrances based on citrus, woods, and musk. In this review, I’ll describe its smell, performance, and if it’s worth it.

What Does Creed Himalaya Smell Like?

A giant blast of citruses leads the opening. My nose mainly picks up grapefruit, lemon, and bergamot.

For the first few minutes, slightly bitter citrus is the only accord. Eventually, a noticeable mix of sandalwood, ambergris, and musk adds to the background.

At this point, it is still all about the citruses, but the backbone is there. After 20-30 minutes, the woods and musk come to the forefront, bringing a dash of pepper.

This is the best part of the fragrance, and lasts a decent amount of time. With all these notes mixing and mingling, Himalaya has a clean and soapy nature. Yet, it’s never like wearing soap suds.

Over time, the citrus’s strength fades. While the ambergris/musk combination fills the void. Both are the signature notes you’ll find in almost all Creed Fragrances.

For the rest of the wear, it is prominent ambergris and musk with lingering spice.

Creed Himalaya Performance

How Long Does Creed Himalaya Last?

Performance is Creed Himalaya’s biggest downfall. The longevity is five to six hours on the skin with light projection. The first couple of hours, it pushes out up to two feet. After this period, it recedes close to the skin.

Since Himalaya is supposed to be an “icy” fragrance, you’d think it’d work best in the winter. But it’s completely the opposite. This performance is with five sprays.

When Should I Wear Creed Himalaya?

It’s best in the spring, summer, and fall. It’s meant to act as a refreshing wear on a hot day. It can be worn in the winter but must be applied heavily.

Himalaya works no matter the occasion. The citrus opening gives a casual feel that fits into laid back setting. While the woods and musk have a sophistication that stands for special occasions like dates and formal events.

Is Creed Himalaya Likable?

The notes of Himalaya are not unique, but the blend differs from many other fragrances. This scent stands out, but it’s not a one-of-one.

As for uniqueness to you. It’s a popular Creed Cologne but still not commonly worn by many.

Lastly, Himalaya is an attention magnet. The citruses, in the beginning, grab attention. While the masculine musk and wood combination provides a very appealing, masculine aroma.

Besuited Aroma gives Creed Himalaya a rating of 8 out of 10.

History

Creed Himalaya was released in 2002 and perfumed by Erwin and Olivier Creed. It is one of a kind, as there are no flankers from the brand.

What’s The Best Creed Himalaya Clone?

Paco Rabanne XS is a very similar fragrance to Himalaya. The only difference is that XS has a heavy aromatic accord providing fresh accents. While Himalaya is all about the citruses.

Is Creed Himalaya Worth It?

Creed Himalaya costs $250 for a 3.3oz bottle on discounters.

The smell and quality are worth it. But the performance is limited. This is a fragrance I recommend sampling before buying. As you should fall in love with it before paying the hefty price.

Nothing against the scent, but there are better Creed’s. As well as similar fragrances for a more affordable price.

Creed Himalaya is a decent scent and worth having if you really want it. However, don’t limit yourself to just Himalaya. Discover the best Creed colognes for men here.
