What Does Escentic 04 EDP Smell Like?
If you were looking for the simplest cologne with sandalwood, you’ve found it. Bright citrus grapefruit and light florals are all based around creamy sandalwood.
The opening grapefruit is bright but not sharp. The smell invigorates you for the day. Light florals accompany citrus and promote the freshness of both sandalwood and grapefruit.
Early on, sandalwood envelops the top notes. It is almost exclusively creamy sandalwood by the mid and dry down. Top notes still linger, but you mostly get a pleasant fresh sandalwood base.

Performance
Escentric 04 EDP lasts six hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out two feet for the first hour to an hour and a half. After this period, it recedes to a light ambiance for the rest of the wear. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring, summer, and early fall wear. It’s an interesting sandalwood fragrance. Many of the best ones are geared for cold weather because of the dense woodiness. But Escentric 04 EDP has much-appreciated citrus and aromatics notes that make it great for warmer weather.
As for occasions, this is all. It’s a wearable fragrance from its scent profile and subtle projection. This translates to its above-average mass appeal and likability. This can be appreciated by everyone because it has no decisive notes.
Final Words
There aren’t any clones of Escentic 04. If you want this fragrance but solely sandalwood, Escentric Molecules Molecules 04 is a great choice.
Is Escentric Molecules 04 EDP worth it? A sample or decant. There are some drawbacks to the fragrance. The performance is average, but the bigger problem is the opening. The first 10 -15 minutes are sharp and potentially off-putting. After this period, it becomes an enjoyable sandalwood scent.
Luckily, it’s only $50 for a 100mL bottle but know if you dislike the opening, you just have to wait.
After you try Escentric Molecules Escentric 04 EDP, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
