What Does Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi Smell Like?
This stands out because it is so simple. The entire wear, you’ll only ever smell a few notes. The bright and authentic citruses are sure to grab your attention in the beginning.
There isn’t really a dominant one. They all work together to create a very bright, zesty, and zingy blend.
Besides these few aspects, the only other interesting part in the first few minutes is the mild spice of mint. This pair goes back and forth until the scent moves into the base.
There is one final addition. A strong and fruity fig note blasts its way in with a creamy cedar depth. Is this the best part of the fragrance? Yes. It is interesting but never too sweet.
The rest of the wear is these two and some freshness from before.

Fico di Amalfi Performance
How Long Does Fico di Amalfi Last?
Fico di Amalfi lasts five hours on the skin with intimate projection. From the first spray, it pushes out one to two feet and remains so for the rest of the wear.
The sillage doesn’t fair any better. As you move around, the scent trail is virtually nonexistent. This performance is with five sprays.
Fortunately, this is a fragrance you can accidentally overapply and not overwhelm anyone.
When Can I Wear Fico di Amalfi?
This is exclusively late spring and summer wear. There is no depth to the fragrance. It needs as much heat as possible to get decent performance.
As for occasions, it is all. The projection is subtle enough to blend in and not overwhelm.
Is Fico di Amalfi Popular?
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. Everyone around will love the sweet and unique aroma that is present but doesn’t consume them.
As a general rule, sweet fragrances get the second most amount of compliments behind ambroxan-based scents.
How Do The People Rate Fico di Amalfi?
Don’t just trust me; what do the masses think? This information is pulled from fragrantica.com. Providing a general estimate of what others think.
At the time of writing (March 2024), Fico di Amalfi has 5,546 votes with a rating of 4.31 stars out of 5. Based on the cost-for-value metric, it is rated as neutral.
Here are the top three pros and cons:
Pros
- Uplifting and joyful fragrance.
- Pleasant and easy-to-wear scent.
- Fresh and organic summery feel.
Cons
- Not suitable for cold weather.
- Subtle fig note that fades quickly.
- Reminiscent of the body shop in the early 90s.
*Note: The last two cons have more downvotes than upvotes.
Final Words
The best Fico di Amalfi dupe is Armani Figiuer Eden. Unfortunately, I don’t have experience with this fragrance, so I can’t approve or deny it.
The final question is, is Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi worth it? A sample or decant. I enjoy the uniqueness of the fragrance most, but the performance is a major downfall.
This is an excellent citrus cologne, but I recommend first falling in love with it and ensuring you’re okay with poor performance for a decently affordable price.
Fico di Amalfi is an excellent cologne and a highly complimented one. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Fico di Amalfi. Check out the best Acqua di Parma colognes for men.
