It is one of the best Guerlain fragrances for men.
Guerlain Vetiver was released in 2000. It is based on Vetiver, spices, and various other masculine accents. In this review, I will describe its smell, performance, and if it’s worth it.

What Does Guerlain Vetiver Smell Like?
The opening is led by a lemon, bergamot, and neroli blast. The citruses emphasize freshness, while the neroli has a cleaner aroma but doesn’t take away from the citruses.
Within a few minutes, the fragrance is all about Vetiver. It has a very natural green smell.
The heart is all about the natural green Vetiver that has gained woodier and earthier faucets. The dry down has a peppery tinge, while the dark and earthy accents are amplified.
The rest of the wear is various spices, leather, and dry tobacco, all amplifying the strength of Vetiver.

Guerlain Vetiver Performance
How Long Does Guerlain Vetiver Last?
This is an average performer for me. It varies day by day because of the weather. However, I generally get five to six hours on the skin.
I have read that some people get a few more. Yet, after the six-hour mark, it has less than an intimate projection. So, even though you may be able to smell it, there comes a time when you need to call it as not there anymore.
As for the scent bubble, the first few hours are big. It pushes out about an arm’s length before receding. It will slowly fade until the six-hour mark when it is a skin scent.
This performance is with four sprays.
When Should I Wear Guerlain Vetiver?
For basically everything. This is perfect in the transitionary times of the year – spring and fall. This is the type of fragrance that’s great to have on in 60F with a sweatshirt and jeans.
This is easily worn in the summer as well, but in the winter, it becomes too weak on the coldest days. As for occasions, this is all. It stands out for a formal occasion and is easily worn for a casual event.
Is Guerlain Vetiver Unique?
This is one of the fragrance’s best categories. Is Vetiver by itself unique? No. However, with the nutmeg, leather, and boatload of citruses, this thing starts to become a scent of its own.
If you’re buying a scent to stand out and not smell like a bunch of other guys, then this is a great choice.
Is Guerlain Vetiver Likable?
Yes, this is one of the best office-wear fragrances for men. It is a unique fragrance, but not so much that it becomes decisive.
Of course, there’s that one co-worker who hates fragrances and perfumes in general, but it doesn’t matter; you’re wearing cologne for yourself, aren’t you?
Either way, this is a fragrance that is easy for everyone to enjoy. Now, I can’t say I’ve gotten compliments with this. But I’ve never gotten looks of disgust.
Is Guerlain Vetiver Worth It?
Yes. It is pretty easy to recommend Guerlain fragrances as they are all the highest quality without being outrageously priced. It is no different here.
Of course, the biggest downfall is that you’ll need a winter fragrance. However, other than this, I don’t see any big red flags about this scent. It all comes down to whether you know you like the smell of Vetiver or not.
Guerlain Vetiver is an amazing fragrance. However, don’t limit yourself to just this one. Discover the best Guerlain fragrances for men here.
