Man Aqua.
An aquatic take on the Jimmy Choo Man line.
Jimmy Choo Man Aqua was released in 2022. It is based on aromatic, spice, and marine accords. It lasts four hours on the skin with intimate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Jimmy Choo Man Aqua Smell Like?
The moment I spray this on, I smell bright citruses with cardamom coating the edges. I thought this was an odd combination. Yet, I enjoy the change from fresh spiciness to warm spiciness. In the background is an aquatic backbone.
How aquatic is it? It’s saltier than shower water but not as mineral and metallic as oceanic notes. This trio is the main idea for the first 10-15 minutes before turning into a more aromatic scent.
Clary sage leads the aromatic transition. It brings patchouli and oak moss, but neither amount to the same intensity. Once these notes add, they kick out the citruses, maintaining the scent’s freshness. Patchouli and oak moss amplify the aromatic nature and add earthy wood tinges.
This was a quick scent to develop. After this period, there is no noticeable scent change. The rest of the wear is dominant fresh aromatics and earthy, wood tinges.

Performance
Man Aqua lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out a foot for the entire wear. Even if you move around more, this doesn’t project better as it is so light. This performance is with five sprays.
This is exclusively late spring and summer wear. The already light projection loses too much power in the cooler temperatures, leaving you with a non-existent fragrance. You’ll get three months of wear if you live in a four-season climate.
As for occasions, it is office and casual wear. The scent is alluring but nothing great for dates or formal events. This is casual and office wear by default, as it has subtle projection.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above average. There are no decisive notes in the fragrance. It is a simple and attractive scent.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Jimmy Choo Man Aqua worth it? No. It has an interesting twist with the addition of cardamom to an aquatic fragrance, but nothing else about this fragrance is worth it.
