Jimmy Choo Man Review – Everything You Need To Know

Man.

The original Jimmy Choo fragrance.

Jimmy Choo Man was released in 2014. It is based on sweet fruits, lavender, and suede. It lasts two to three hours on the skin with intimate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Jimmy Choo Man Smell Like?

The opening has a tropical vibe with a blast of fruits, citrus, and pineapple leaf. The overarching emphasis of this trio is intense sweetness. It is a charming sweetness rather than a syrupy sweet.

When the heavy emphasis on fruits and citruses dies down, pink pepper and lavender make their way in. Pink pepper doesn’t ever become prominent but sits on the edges of the scent. This subtleness is nice as it’s never in your face and “assaulting” but always present and attention-grabbing.

The lavender is present and helps temper the intensity of the fruity sweetness.

As the scent develops, sweet fruits remain the star of the show. A muted suede adds a significantly musky accord. I say muted because the performance is so poor that you barely experience the dry-down. Once the fruity notes are gone, so is the scent.

Jimmy Choo Man notes:

  • Pineapple
  • Suede
  • Lavender
  • Melon
  • Pink Pepper
  • Patchouli

Performance

Jimmy Choo Man lasts two to three hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out a foot or less for the entire wear. Even if you move around more, this doesn’t project better as it is so light. This performance is with five sprays.

This is all-season wear, except for the coldest days of winter. It doesn’t have the depth to push through the cold air in the winter. You’ll get ten months of wear if you live in a four-season climate.

As for occasions, it is all. This is both a pleasant and wearable fragrance that won’t offend anyone. This translates to its excellent mass appeal and likability. There is nothing about Jimmy Choo Man that is decisive, along with the subtle projection, which makes for a very alluring and attractive fragrance.

Jimmy Choo man Clones

The most similar is Jimmy Choo Man Intense. It is virtually the same fragrance but more intense. If you’re going to get a “Man” fragrance, the intense version is the best choice.

Outside of the line is Coach for Men. It is similar with sweet fruits and citruses but has prominent amber and aromatic accords. Coach for Men leans more towards a blue fragrance with a unique twist.

Final Words

The final burning question is, is Jimmy Choo Man worth it? No. This is one of the worst cost-for-value fragrances on the market. Many times people on fragrance forums will say a fragrance has horrible performance even if it is beast mode. Yet, Jimmy Choo Man is actually bad.

I appreciate want the perfumer was trying to do with the blend of notes, but the performance is a deal breaker. Check out the intense version if you like the scent profile.

If you try Jimmy Choo Man, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
