Vanille Havane.
One of the best unisex, gourmand vanilla fragrances.
Les Demodables Vanille Havane was released in 2020. It is based on tobacco, cacao, and vanilla accords. It lasts eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Les Demodables Vanille Havane Smell Like?
Upon the first spray is a sea of rum and vanilla. What’s the main idea? Sweetness! In the background, cacao and smoky nuances contrast their intensity. I can’t emphasize this enough, but the cocoa is bitter. It is straight from the pod. Think of the darkest, dark chocolate you’ve ever eaten. That’s the idea here.
This may seem off-putting. Yet, it is a perfect match to temper the boozy vanilla. It only helps the gourmand nature.
The first 15-20 minutes, mix and mingle around these gourmand accords. Over time, they funnel down into the sweet heart. How sweet is it? Intense but never sugary or candy-like. Once the sweetness settles comes a deep and warm amber base.
After a couple of hours, the sweetness weakens. An intense tobacco note fills its void. This transition was quick as tobacco is so loud. The rest of the wear is vanilla and tobacco with sweet nuances.

Performance
Vanille Havane lasts eight hours on the skin with above-average projection. It pushes out more than an arm’s length for the first three hours. The rest of the wear retains a mild two-foot ambiance.
The sillage is as good. As you walk around, this will leave a long and dense scent trail. The more you move, the better Vanille Havane smells and projects. This performance is with three sprays.
This is exclusively fall and winter wear. The sweetness of the notes is extremely cloying in any type of heat. As for occasions, it is best for special events like formal occasions and dates. I recommend moderating the sprays on a date since it is a loud projector.
In close-quarter settings, this is too intense. So, why is it great for dates? It is seductive and alluring. This is an extremely likable scent, as many people can’t get enough of it.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Les Demodables Vanille Havane worth it? Maybe. It’s definitely worth a sample or decant. This is a beautiful gourmand fragrance; it’s not just a niche fragrance… it’s an art form – I’m not pulling your leg.
My only reservation is it’s difficult to wear. The sweetness is suffocating if applied incorrectly. And it’s not a very versatile scent. This isn’t my go-to date scent, so I only wear it a couple of times a year. It’s the type of fragrance you buy once and lasts a lifetime.
So, what does this all mean? Vanille Havane is worth it, but make sure you’re willing to accept the price and lack of versatility for the artisanal quality.
