Quick Summary
- This lasts 10+ hours on the skin with an above average.
- It’s a smoky, authentic oud that will spice up your collection but is not for everyone.
- Nuit de Feu can only be worn in the fall and winter.
- It’s a unique fragrance with many different “flavors” but still a minimalistic scent.
- Nuit de Feu is an intense scent that may make it hard to enjoy.
What Does Louis Vuitton Nuit de Feu Smell Like?
The opening is all about smoky incense and oud. If you love incense, this is a fragrance you need in your collection.
Within a few minutes, the notes settle into themselves. The oud gains a dirty/barnyard-like quality. The only aspect that some may find decisive.
I enjoy the bard-yardness as it is quality and blended. It puts a unique twist on the fragrance that not many other fragrances can do. The mid makes room for a rich and natural leather note. The incense and oud settle on it, using it as support.
The dry down stays the same. Some musk nuances from the base are still all about smoky incense, oud, and leather.

Louis Vuitton Nuit de Feu Performance
Every time I wear this, the performance is weird. It always lasted ten hours on the skin, even in the winter weather. However, the projection was always light.
I played around with the spray count, and not much changed. At its peak, it creates a one to two-foot scent bubble with three sprays. It becomes a skin scent after four to five hours.
Nuit de Feu is a cold weather-only fragrance. Even though the projection is light, it will choke you out in the heat. As for occasions, I recommend reserving this for special occasions.

- Not for everyone’s else.
- Heavy and smoky.
- Strong and pungent.
Is Nuit de Feu Worth it?
I don’t recommend this fragrance as a blind buy. However, if you’re looking for your next oud or special occasion fragrance. This should be on your list.
The part of this fragrance that sets itself apart from all other oud fragrances is its combination with incense. It is just enough to keep the oud calm but still bring masculine and alluring incense.
Nuit de Feu is an amazing fragrance, but don’t limit yourself. Discover the best Louis Vuitton colognes for men here.
