Midnight Voyage.
Nautica’s attempt at a blue fragrance.
Nautica Midnight Voyage was released in 2020. It is based on amber and greens. It lasts six to seven hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Nautica Midnight Voyage Smell Like?
This extremely simple fragrance is meant to replicate Dior Sauvage and other popular blue fragrances. It opens with equal parts fresh mint and a kick of spicy pink pepper.
The mint is attention-grabbing and alluring. The pink pepper spice amplifies this attention-grabbing aroma and “jumps” off the skin. But the best part is that it’s never “assaulting” or overwhelming. In the background is subtle amber that will become more prominent over time.
The spices dominate in the mid but quickly weaken and give way to warm amber. After an hour into the wear, the fragrance is darker and more masculine with dominant amber, with green and spicy nuances.
Nautica Midnight Voyage notes:
- Pink Pepper
- Spicy Mint
- Amber
Performance
Midnight Voyage lasts six to seven hours on the skin with moderate projection. It pushes out two feet for the first hour and a half before receding closer to the skin. Even if you move around a lot, the scent still doesn’t project well. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring and summer wear. It doesn’t have the depth to push through the cold air. You’ll get six months of wear if you live in a four-season climate.
As for occasions, it is all. This is both a pleasant and wearable fragrance that won’t offend anyone. This translates to its excellent mass appeal and likability. There is nothing about Midnight Voyage that is decisive, along with the subtle projection, makes for a very alluring and attractive fragrance.
Final Words
Midnight Voyage doesn’t have any clones. Instead, it takes green aspects from the original Voyage and the ambery and spicy nature from Dior Sauvage EDT.
The final burning question is, is Nautica Midnight Voyage worth it? No. As a blue fragrance, this is supposed to be versatile and mass-appealing. Yes, it is likable. But it lacks versatility. There are many other fragrances at the same price point with better performance and wearability.
