What Does Nishane Ambra Calabria Smell Like?
A niche fragrance that starts with a generic bergamot note? The opening is fresh and bright, but nothing that knocks the ball out of the park.
But the good thing is that things don’t take long to get interesting. In comes a very intense and green note. This fragrance has no spice notes, but it sure feels like it because these bitter greens will slap you in the face.
At this point, we are only a few minutes into the wear. And guess what’s already here?
The dry down… The greenness will settle, and the scent rolls into amber and vanilla. This duo is warm and sweet but never sticky or sugary.
The rest of the wear is amber and vanilla with green tinges. This is a simple scent, though always well-balanced.

Nishane Ambra Calabria Performance
How Long Does Nishane Ambra Calabria Last?
Ambra Calabria lasts six hours on the skin with light to moderate projection. With the deep amber and vanilla base, it’s thankfully moderate. The first 1-1.5 hours pushes out two to three feet.
Once the scent transitions into the dry down, the projection weakens. The rest of the wear is a light ambiance.
The sillage fairs as well. It benefits from the louder projection in the beginning. In the dry down, the vanilla and amber combination leaves a dense scent trail as you move around.
It’s not outstanding, but it’s something. This performance is with three sprays.
When Should I Wear Nishane Ambra Calabria?
This is nearly all-season wear.
It’s great for spring, summer, and fall but gets tricky in the winter. This is all-season wear if you live in a warmer climate with mild winters. But if you get decently cold winters, you may not be able to wear Ambra Calabria.
Even heavier sprays have diminishing returns. As for occasions, it is all. This is one of the best parts of the fragrance, as it’s extremely wearable.
Is Nishane Ambra Calabria Likable?
The mass appeal and likability are above average. This is an easy fragrance to get along with. But it’s not so alluring that it’s highly complimented.
Lastly, the uniqueness is above average. There’s nothing special about the amber and vanilla combination. However, the tart green opening stands out above all other similar fragrances.

Here are the top three pros and cons:
Pros
- Great transition from citrus to amber.
- Excellent green citrus notes with sweet amber.
- Underrated gem with unique and diverse phases.
Cons
- Moderate longevity.
- Not for those who dislike green or musky scents.
- May not meet personal taste preferences.
*Note: All cons have more downvotes than upvotes.
Is Nishane Ambra Calabria Worth It?
Yes, this is quality and a distinct fragrance.
The only aspects I struggle with are longevity and price. This is niche priced and deserves it as it is an excellent fragrance, but it only lasts about half a day and is an everyday wear fragrance. For me, this is a disappointment.
In short, the Ambra Calabria is worth it, but I would buy another summer fragrance before I bought this.
