Nishane Ani Review – Everything You Need To Know

Ani.

A quality vanillic winter fragrance.

Nishane Ani was released in 2019. It is based on spices, vanilla, and wood. It lasts eight hours on the skin with moderate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Nishane Ani Smell Like?

At first, all I smell is sweet and spicy accords. Sparkling and effervescent ginger has the initial jump. It’s in my face and grabs my attention. A few moments later, a sweet vanilla comes to its support. Now, you’ll have the sweet and spicy aroma that lasts for the rest of the wear.

How sweet is the vanilla? Sugary. Yet, it is well-balanced with creamier and richer faucets.

Give the opening some time. The ginger spice isn’t alone for long. A duo of cardamom and pink pepper add with less spice intensity. They keep the scent diverse and emphasize its warm nature. At this point, the scent is 15-20 minutes old. Vanilla picks up powdery accents. This is the only development I’d consider the mid.

Spices fade into the dry down, and a sandalwood backbone fills its void. The rest of the wear is simple; it’s vanilla at the forefront with a woody backbone.

Performance

The performance is mild but pleasant. Ani lasts eight hours on the skin with moderate and consistent projection. It pushes out one to two feet for hours. Making your presence known but not screaming for attention.

As for the seasons, it is spring, fall, and winter wear. Thankfully, the prominent note is not too sweet, so it doesn’t get cloying in the heat. However, with the depth of the notes, it can still become overwhelming.

The occasional wearability is better. This can be worn for all occasions without any “restrictions.” The aroma is very alluring for formal occasions and dates. While the projection is subtle enough that it’s a perfect office or other close-quarter settings wear.

Lastly, the mass appeal and likability are excellent, and this is because of the same reasons above. A mild projection and alluring aroma. Whenever a fragrance has a prominent vanilla note, the fragrance is almost guaranteed to be liked by all.

Nishane Ani Clones

Ani has one dupe. According to fragrantica, Imperium Electimuss is the most similar fragrance. I don’t have experience with this fragrance, but based on the scent accords, it has the same prominent vanilla and lingering woods. However, the dupe has a prominent white floral accord and bright citrus opening.

Final Words

Nishane Ani is worth it and is one of my favorite fragrances to recommend. Many times winter fragrances are absolute powerhouses. However, Ani is an excellent winter cologne with mild and wearable projection. It also has better wearability in the spring than most.

It is priced as a niche fragrance, as it should be. Yet, you pay for what you get.

Ani is an excellent cologne and a great winter scent. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Ani. Check out the best winter colognes for men. All are primed to cut through the cold air; you might just find your signature scent.
