Soleil Blanc.
Reminiscent of the Caribbean.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc was released in 2016. It is based on coconut, white florals, and sweet accents. It lasts four to five hours on the skin with intimate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance if it’s worth it.

What Does Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Smell Like?
This opening combination has a tropical vibe. Coconut-infused bergamot leads the opening and is wrapped in slightly sweet floral notes. Soon, the bergamot fades, and more florals with a mix of fresh spices fill the void. The emphasis here is a fresh and delightful aroma.
As time passes, the florals only gain more strength. At this point, they’re significantly smooth and creamy. While in the background, sweet coconut lingers. Once in the dry down is slight amber warmth and benzoin. Neither is prominent but adds just enough depth to the base.
For the rest of the wear, semi-sweet florals and lingering spice rest on the bed of warm base notes.

Performance
Soleil Blanc lasts four to five hours on the skin with intimate projection. From the first spray, it only pushes out to a foot and stays light to a skin scent for the rest of the wear.
Its versatility doesn’t fare much better. This is exclusively summer and early spring wear. It doesn’t have the depth to push out in the cooler weather.
As for occasions, it is all. I mainly use it as a casual wear fragrance, but the projection is subtle, and the aroma is quality enough to work for all other situations.
Lastly, the mass appeal and likability are okay. On the one hand, this is a very attention-grabbing scent with its sweet aroma. Sweet fragrances tend to attract as much attention second to ambroxan-based fragrances. On the other hand, the coconut smells like suntan lotion and may be decisive to some noses.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Clones
The best clone is Eau de Soleil Blanc. It is a flanker of this one but has a much more prominent citrus accord replacing the dominant coconut accord in the original review today.
Final Words
On the official Tom Ford website, a 50mL bottle costs nearly $300. This brings the final burning question, is Tom Ford Soleil Blanc worth it? No, the performance and versatility are horrible. It is overpriced for the fragrance received. It is a unique combination of notes, but that’s the only thing this fragrance has going for it.
If you try Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
