Burberry Brit for Men Review – You Don’t Need It

Brit for Men.

An old-school gentleman’s fragrance.

Burberry Brit for Men was released in 2004. It is based on spices, rose, and subtle woods. It lasts four to five hours on the skin with average projection.

In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Burberry Brit for Men Smell Like?

Upon the first spray are fleeting citruses and spices. They are both faint and never prominent. Instead of the spices being an awakening pepper, they’re a subtle dry cardamom.

Soon, powdery rose dominates the scent, making up the bulk of the wear.

The rose is not feminine; it retains a fresh nature with a slight barbershop vibe.

After a few hours, it dries to a powdery, musky base with a faint woody background. The rose is mostly gone but left its powdery nature. The warm woods are as faint as the opening citrus.

Burberry Brit for Men Performance

Burberry Brit for Men doesn’t have great performance. It lasts five to six hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out a foot for the first hour before receding.

As for versatility, it is for all occasions worn in the fall, winter, and early spring. It gets too intense if worn with spiced notes in the summer heat.

And occasions, the projection is light enough to never overwhelm in the office. But sophisticated enough for formal events and dates.

In a four-season climate, you’ll get a solid six to seven months of wear out of this.

Lastly, the mass appeal and likability are decent. There’s nothing about this fragrance that attracts a bunch of attention but also nothing offensive. It is intriguing with its blend of rose and spice notes.

Final Words

The final burning question is, is Burberry Brit for Men worth it? No.

On discounters, it costs $36 for a 100mL bottle. This is affordable, but that doesn’t make it worth your while. There are plenty of other affordable fragrances on the market with interesting aromas that have better performance.

Brit for Men is an excellent cologne and a unique one. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Brit for Men. Check out the best Burberry colognes.
