Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend

Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend Review – Do You Need It?

Invictus Legend.

An interesting blend of notes for an aquatic fragrance.

Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend was released in 2019. It is based on marine, aromatic, and amber. It lasts nine to ten hours on the skin with excellent projection.

In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend Smell Like?

Upon the first spray is a synthetic berry sweetness. Given there are no berry notes, it is strange. The opening is the least impressive of all the fragrance parts. After 10 -15 minutes, the scent transitions into a more aquatic tone.

Here, you’ll find the top notes that have finally shown up. Sea notes, salt, and grapefruit combine to create a robust and pleasant aroma. They are accompanied by bubble gummy sweetness in the background.

As the scent develops, the sweetness progressively loses intensity. Making way for warm amber to mix with salty aquatic top notes. The base is not the star of the show, but it gives depth for the aquatic notes to shine.

The rest of the wear is fresh, salty aquatics atop amber.

Performance

Invictus Legend lasts nine to ten hours on the skin with excellent projection. For an aquatic-based fragrance, the projection is impressive. It pushes out an arm’s length or more for multiple hours before it recedes.

After this period, it maintains a present mild ambiance of a couple of feet.

The sillage fairs as well. It leaves a long and dense scent trail as you move around. This is mainly from the amber in the base. This performance is with three sprays.

This is spring, summer, and early fall wear. Like the sillage, the amber base gives it extra oomph to last in cooler temperatures. You’ll be unique, as not many others will wear an aquatic fragrance in cooler temperatures.

As for occasions, it is all. This is excellent everyday wear. Many times loud projectors aren’t great for close-quarter settings.

However, the intensity of the aroma is not too overwhelming. This is where the craftsmanship of Paco Rabanne comes into play.

Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. There is significant sweetness in this fragrance. As a general rule, sweet fragrances are the second most complimented behind ambroxan-based fragrances.

On top of this, there are no decisive notes in the cologne.

Where Should I Buy Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend?

*At the time of writing, Invictus Legend seems to have been discontinued. However, it has not yet been confirmed.

Final Words

There aren’t any great dupes of Invictus Legend. On fragrantica, it lists Invictus Intense and Invictus Aqua. These are similar but only share one prominent accord, while the rest of the scent is completely different.

If you want this scent profile, you’ll have to buy this cologne.

The final burning question is, is Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend worth it? Yes, the smell is worth it. It’s a great performer and quality. But my favorite part of the fragrance is the chaotic opening that dries down to a unique base for aquatic colognes.

Invictus Legend is an excellent cologne and a popular one from the brand. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Invictus Legend. Check out the best Paco Rabanne colgones.
