What Does Narciso Rodriguez for Him Bleu Noir EDT Smell Like?
Upon the first spray, it is very spicy with a sweet and greenish tinge. The greenness is fleeting and doesn’t contribute much to the scent. The sweetness gives the dominant spices some balance but strengthens later.
The spicy notes come from a duo of cardamom and nutmeg. They both have that alluring accent that makes this so attractive. The first 20 minutes of the wear is okay, but the dry-down is where the money’s at.
After this period, musk notes linger in the background with warm amber. These notes weaken the top notes and provide an excellent balance that makes the scent better.
It’s all about amber, woods, and lingering spices a few hours into the wear.
The best part about the base is the unique ebony wood note that mixes with the spices and creates a sweet, creamy accent that I can’t keep my nose away from. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

Bleu Noir for Him EDT Performance
Bleu Noir for Him EDT lasts five hours on the skin with light projection. There is a decent projection for the first hour; by hour three, it is a skin scent for the rest of the wear.
The sillage doesn’t fair better. No matter how much you move around, it doesn’t project any better. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring, fall, and winter wear. The depth of the woods, amber, and spices get too intense in the heat. As for occasions, it is for casual and office wear. It is subtle enough to not overwhelm you or those around you.
The mass appeal and likability are average. There’s not a decisive note in the fragrance, but there’s also nothing special about it. It is just a nice-smelling fragrance that others will enjoy.
Narciso Rodriguez for Him Bleu Noir EDT Clones
The most similar fragrance is Cartier Declaration. The biggest difference is Declaration’s brighter scent profile. It is also a significantly high-quality and wearable fragrance.
Where Should I Buy Bleu Noir EDT?
Final Words
Is Bleu Noir EDT worth it? Yes. It’s a great winter fragrance for an affordable price. Its biggest red flag is its performance. There are better winter colognes for the same price. Yet, that doesn’t take away from Bleu Noir EDT.
