Club de Nuit Intense Man EDT
The opening? The worst part of the fragrance. It is the most pungent blend of citruses, with the lemon smelling like a cleaning wipe. Yes, I can smell some juicy pineapple in there, but it is nothing to get excited about.
This may not sound great, but give it 10-15 minutes, and then decide if you like it or not. The smoky woods work their way in, and the citruses tone down a lot.
They actually go from off-putting to welcoming. I started to not be able to get enough of them.
As the scent develops, it becomes more and more about the smoky woods. There is noticeable, clean musk that works its way in and a leather hint if you look for it.
The fresh, smoky woods and musky leather are what you’ll get for the rest of the wear.
How’s the performance? This lasts 10 – 12 hours on the skin, and projection can fill a room. You can wear it for all seasons or occasions, but it may struggle in the winter.
Club de Nuit Intense Man EDP
These are both similar and have almost the same scent. But there are some good changes. I just told you that the EDT is not the best in the first 15 minutes.
Well, here, it is better rounded with a less in-your-face lemon note. A fruity apple note will come in, in replacement, and crank up the juiciness of the pineapple.
The next biggest change is the smoky birch is more present earlier on and makes this version denser.
After this, the scent is the same thing as the EDT. The performance is the same as the original. It is great for all seasons and occasions, lasting and projecting all day.
Final Words
What is the difference between Club de Nuit EDP and EDT? The EDP has a slightly smoother opening but still an aggressive and synthetic opening.
Other than this aspect, they are the same fragrances.
At the time of writing, the EDP version costs $61 for a 3.6oz bottle. Whereas the EDT version is $40. Considering this, EDT has the better cost for value and, thus, the one I recommend.
