Creed Aventus
Upon the first spray, the focal point is the juicy pineapple. It is sweet and fruity. Yet, neither faucet becomes overwhelming. Bergamot provides a bright contrast. It doesn’t have the tart “spiciness” but is citric and zingy.
The main idea of the first 15-20 minutes is fresh and attention-grabbing.
This freshness flows into nuances of musk and wood. The vibrance of the fruits and citruses weakens but leaves their freshness. The wood note is the most prominent. It is a distinct birch note with smoky faucets.
It may not seem to matter if Birch is used, but it does. It has a unique woody aroma with a sweet, syrupy nature. It smells different than many other warm wood notes. The smokiness takes it in a darker direction.
At the same time, the musk notes keep it clean and wearable. This combination will be prominent for the majority of the wear.
Into the dry down, there is less of a change. It is the same fresh musk and smoky woods.
In the background are hints of leather and warm ambergris. They add depth and make Aventus more masculine. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

Upon the first spray is an enormous blast of pineapple, lemon, and bergamot. The pineapple is the most prominent, with a subtle juiciness.
What’s the scary part? The first 15 minutes are astringent, a.k.a very synthetic. Is it noticeable? Yes. Is it repulsive? No.
After this period, the citruses settle. In the background, smoky woods and leather sneak in. They aren’t prominent at first. The first few hours are still overpowered by the citruses.
After the first three hours, it becomes smoky woods with musk nuances. The presence of the citrus notes is gone, but their freshness remains.
The rest of the wear is fresh, smoky woods and musk.
