Burberry for Men.
An old-school and wearable fragrance for men.
Burberry for Men EDT was released in 1995. It is based on aromatics, woods, and spices. It lasts six hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Burberry for Men EDT Smell Like?
A bright aromatic opening with a combination of bergamot, lavender, and mint. All work together to create an extremely fresh aroma. The bergamot and mint combination has a spicy tinge. While the lavender has a floral nuance that balances out the opening.
After the first 10 – 15 minutes, a semi-powdery lavender almost takes up the entirety of the scent.
At the heart of the wear, all the top notes have faded except lavender, which retains fresh accents. A warm cedar develops in the background giving Burberry for Men depth. Then a dry oak moss becomes prominent, pairing with the floral and semi-powdery lavender.
The dry-down is the most pleasant part of the wear. I get a warm trio combination of vanilla, amber, and cedar with musky and powdery lavender nuances. Some may call it “cozy,” which I get for the rest of the wear.

Performance
Burberry for Men EDT lasts six hours on the skin with light projection. It pushes out but isn’t obnoxious. The first hour it creates a two-foot scent bubble. After this period, it recedes to a soft ambiance of one foot for the rest of the wear. This performance is with five sprays.
This is all-season wearability except for the hottest days of summer and the coldest days of winter. You’ll also have to moderate your sprays depending on the weather. You’ll get nine to ten months of wear in a four-season climate.
As for occasions, it is all. One of its better aspects is its wearability. Spray this on, and you’re good to go. Subtle enough for the office but still sophisticated for dates and formal occasions.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are average. This is a steady, eddy fragrance. It doesn’t shout for attention but smells good to everyone in your vicinity. It gets “Oh, you smell nice” compliments.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Burberry for Men EDT worth it? For the right person, try a sample or decant first. I don’t dislike the scent, nor do I like it. As a man in his 20s writing this, it is slightly mature but still wearable. It’ll by far smell better on an older gentleman.
The second thing is its lack of excitement. It’s a quality fragrance, but it is basically only heavy aromatics with woody nuances. A few blue fragrances are more interesting than Burberry for Men.
In short, a good, quality, and affordable men’s fragrance. But it best fits an older gentleman who has a small collection, wants a wearable scent, and wants to smell good but doesn’t care to impress anyone.
If you don’t fit that mold, it’s not worth it.
If you try Burberry for Men EDT, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
