Paris Edimbourg.
One of Chanel’s simplest fragrance.
Chanel Paris Edimbourg was released in 2021. It is based on woods and aromatics. It lasts five hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Chanel Paris Edimbourg Smell Like?
Right off the bat, a bright, fresh green quality awakens the senses. This nature is attributed to an effervescent blend of juniper and Cypress. Both are significantly woody but still have a clean and airy vibe. I compare it to walking through the forest after an early morning dew.
After a few minutes, lavender adds a soft soapiness. It helps temper the strength of the forest tone. Cypress weakens in the mid. This allows the vetiver to become more prominent, bringing cedar with it. With Cypress fading, the authentic forest smell fades. Yet, the scent still maintains the outdoorsy vibe.
The greenness dissipates in the dry-down. Lavender with the remaining wood fills the void. Vanilla is the last addition. The rest of the wear is lavender with some woody cypress. All are enveloped in the creamy and sweet nature of vanilla.

Performance
Paris Edimbourg lasts five hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. In the first two hours, it pushes out two feet or so; after this period, it recedes close to the skin. The sillage is poor as well. Moving around doesn’t help this scent project better. This performance is with five sprays.
This is spring, summer, and fall wear. I tried it in the winter, but I had to apply quite heavily and didn’t get much better performance in return. Eventually, I was wasting it. You’ll get nine to ten months of wear in a four-season climate.
As for occasions, it is all. This comes from the combination of quality, sophisticated aroma, and subtle projection.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above average. This is an enjoyable fragrance with a unique cypress and juniper berry blend. However, nothing about it shouts for attention or stands out. It’s quality, wearable, and subtle. At least everyone will love it.
Final Words
Is Chanel Paris Edimbourg worth it? No. It’s definitely a quality and sophisticated aroma. But the biggest downfall is the poor performance. If you enjoy very subtle fragrances, this is a great choice. But if you like colognes that are present, this is too light.
I appreciate that it’s simple and wearable. But if it’s not going to be ultra-unique and have good performance, it can’t compete with the numerous other simple and wearable fragrances that are better performers or more affordable.
If you try Chanel Paris Edimbourg, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
