Erolfa.
One of the brand’s best summer scents.
Creed Erolfa was released in 1992. It is based on citruses, woods, and fresh spices. It lasts six hours on the skin with average projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Creed Erolfa Smell Like?
Right off the bat is a trio of citruses: lime, melon, and bergamot. It is reminiscent of many other summer Creed colognes on this list. The citruses are the most prominent from the start but sit on a salty aquatic background.
The opening is quite simple and focuses heavily on being fresh and clean. Like the other summery Creeds, there is a soapy nuance. However, it is the most subtle of all.
The heart of the fragrance gets a heavier touch. The citruses are still present but get shoved to the side. This makes room for a slightly spicy wood note and the airiness of a salty marine background. These notes rest on a mixture of musk, ambergris, and wood.
For the entire wear, the general idea was a citrus-based cologne on a woody base.
The official Creed Erolfa notes:

Performance
The performance is as expected from a citrus-based fragrance. Erolfa lasts six hours on the skin with average to light projection. It has a one-foot to two-foot ambiance for the first two to three hours. This is a better scent for sitting still, as the sillage is not great.
The versatility is limited. This is exclusively spring and summer wear but for all occasions. The dominant citruses don’t have enough power to push through cool or cold air. Usually, a citrus fragrance wouldn’t be great for situations where you need to impress, but this is so high-quality it doesn’t matter.
In a four-season climate, you’ll get five months of wear out of this. The warmer your climate, the more versatile it becomes.
Lastly, the mass appeal and likability are excellent. Who doesn’t enjoy the smell of authentic citruses?
Final Words
On discounters, a 100mL bottle costs in the neighborhood of $350. This is a step price, and Erolfa, unfortunately, doesn’t have any great clones.
The final burning question is, is Creed Erolfa worth it? No. The quality of the fragrance is there, like every other Creed scent. However, this has limited versatility. If you’re looking for a summer scent, there are better choices from both the Creed brand and outside of the brand that gets you the same effect.
Examples of this would be Creed Millesime Imperial or Louis Vuitton Imagination. Still, Erolfa is worth a sample.
If you try Creed Erolfa, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
