Givenchy Gentleman EDT Intense was released in 2021. It is based on Iris, woods, and various other aromatic accords. It lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with gentlemanly projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Gentleman EDT Intense Smell Like?
A rich and dark iris leads the opening. Don’t freak out; it’s still a very masculine scent. It is more so than the soapy and powdery iris found in Prada L’Homme.
The first few minutes are overwhelming iris before fresh greens brighten the opening. It is a balancing act of lightness and darkness. As the top notes settle, a fresh and sweet vein will carry the iris into the base, skipping the mid.
At this point, a heavy cedar and cypress will add. They’re mostly warm, but the cypress carries a darker green and fresh nature. Iris and faint spices sit atop. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

Performance
Gentleman EDT Intense lasts seven to eight hours on the skin with gentlemanly projection. It pushes out two to three feet for most of the wear. I call this gentlemanly as it is present but never overwhelming. I get this performance with five sprays.
This is all-season and occasion wear except for the hottest days of summer. The woodiness gets too overpowering when too much heat is applied. In a four-season climate, you’ll get a solid 10 to 11 months of wear out of this.
Similar to the gentlemanly projection, the aroma is also classy and sophisticated so that it will stand out at special events but still be subtle enough for the office and other close-quarter settings.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. This is an easy-to-wear, masculine, and polite fragrance. There’s nothing about this fragrance that others will find decisive. And it’s quality enough to garner compliments.
Final Words
Gentleman EDT Intense has one clone Dior Homme Eau for Men. But unfortunately, it’s been discontinued. So, technically there aren’t any clones of this fragrance.
The final burning question is, is Givenchy Gentleman EDT Intense worth it? Yes. It’s an excellent masculine and unique fragrance for men. Besides Prada L’Homme, few fragrances can pull off a prominent Iris note and keep the fragrance masculine.
I enjoy this in my collection as it is high-quality but still only priced as a high-end designer fragrance.
