Ombre Nomade.
The best long-lasting fragrance.
Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade was released in 2018. It is based on amber, oud, and spices. It lasts 12+ hours on the skin with excellent projection. In this review, I will describe the smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade Smell Like?
Equal parts of incense and oud lead the opening, both of which have dark and smokey accents. This oud is particularly interesting. It mixes with a slightly sweet and fresh duo of raspberry and rose. The addition of rose is common, but the fruity raspberry is alluring.
As this is all happening, a resinous and amber base sneaks underneath. It is prevalent but shines in the dry down. As for now, the rose and raspberry only ever get strong enough to balance the dominant oud. There’s still sweetness, but the longer it’s on my skin, gets richer and smoother.
Rose and raspberry are lost in the dry down. My nose still picks up oud and incense that is coming back. But the most emphasis is the hefty dose of benzoin. This gives the scent a nice resinous finish and lingering amber wood.

Performance
Ombre Nomade lasts 12+ hours on the skin with excellent projection. It has a room-filling projection for the first three to four hours. After this period, it recedes but maintains an arm’s length or more ambiance for the rest of the wear.
The sillage is just as good. This rich and dense fragrance leaves a long scent trail as you move around. The more you move, the better this smells and the further it projects. This performance is with two sprays.
This is fall, winter, and early spring wear. As for occasions, it is best for special occasions or casual wear. In close-quarter settings, you’ll have to moderate your sprays as this gets intense. Open areas and rooms do exceptionally well and let this beautiful juice air out.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are above average. There’s no denying that this will be a decisive fragrance to some. However, it’s a beautiful and quality oud-saffron-rose combination if they enjoy it.
Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade Clones
Royal Night The Words Collection is the most similar fragrance. The biggest difference is a prominent leather accord and the loss of a prominent amber accord.
The two other clones are Louis Vuitton Nouveau Monde and Nishane Mana.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade worth it? Yes. I can go on and on about the amazing performance and other key points.
But the smoky oud accord is by far the best part of the fragrance. It’s not uncommon to have an oud-rose-saffron combination, but the addition of smoky incense makes it a scent of its own.
After you try Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
