Prada L'Homme L'Eau

Prada L’Homme L’Eau EDT Review – Is It Actually Good?

L’Homme L’Eau.

A cleaner flanker of one of the best fragrances for men.

Prada L’Homme L’Eau was released in 2017. It is based on powdery iris and subtle woods. It lasts seven hours on the skin with light and consistent projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance if it’s worth it.

What Does Prada L’Homme L’Eau Smell Like?

A blast of freshness leads the opening, mainly from a mixture of iris and neroli. Compared to the original, there is less iris but more powder.

Though the iris is fewer, it is still intense. The minutes after the first spray emphasize cleanliness and freshness more than anything. Think of it like a cold lemonade on a hot day.

Once L’Eau develops some, it gains subtle depth with woods, amber, and nuances of ginger. Ginger is the most interesting. Here, it has a slightly zingy nature to invigorate the senses. At this point, it is very airy. This analogy doesn’t do it enough justice, but it is like a fabric refresher.

The dry down always stays warm. It is powdery and floral from the first few minutes until the end. In the background, ginger slightly amplifies. The rest of the wear is floral and spicy atop ambery and woody depth.

Performance

The performance is not as good as the original. But that’s as expected, as it’s a slightly lighter fragrance. L’Homme L’Eau lasts seven hours on the skin with light projection. The entire wear has a consistent, intimate projection.

This projection makes it versatile for any occasion. The smell has enough sophistication to stand out at a formal event or date. While the projection is subtle enough that it won’t overwhelm anyone in close-quarter settings like the office or lecture hall.

As for seasons, it’s not as versatile. It does better in the spring and summer than the original. However, as the temperatures get cooler, the performance gets worse. In the early fall, with heavy sprays, it will last but wear L’homme L’Eau in the late fall or winter, and it’ll be non-existent.

You’ll get six to seven months of wear out of this if you live in a four-season climate. The warmer your climate, the more versatile this becomes.

The uniqueness is great. It shares the same DNA as the original. And not many masculine fragrances are floral and powdery dominant like the L’Homme line.

Lastly, how’s the mass appeal and likability? Fantastic, this is a casual gentleman’s fragrance. L’Homme L’Eau is not highly complimented, but it is extremely liked. This will never come across as a decisive scent.

Is Prada L’Homme L’Eau Discontinued?

L’Homme L’Eau is NOT discontinued. It is out of stock on the official Prada website. However, it is still available and is planned to come back in stock.

If a fragrance still has an active listing on the brand’s official website, it is still in production. If not, it is often delisted but still in production and sold to retailers and discounters.

Final Words

In short, Prada L’Homme L’Eau is worth it because of all the reasons above. But the real question that comes to mind is, is this redundant to own both L’Homme and L’Homme L’Eau? If you don’t own both, which one should you choose?

The original and the one reviewed today are very similar fragrances. The biggest differences are the presentation of the scents. L’Homme L’Eau smells more casual and does better in warm weather.

L’Homme is slightly more sophisticated and more versatile. It works fine in the late fall and early winter but struggles on the coldest days of winter and becomes too much on the hottest days of summer.

Both are worth it. If you live in a warm climate, L’Homme L’Eau is a better choice. In a four-season climate, the original L’Homme is the better choice.

L’Homme L’Eau is an excellent cologne and a good one for the summer. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to L’Homme L’Eau. Check out the best Summer fragrances for men. All will shine in the warm weather – no pun intended; you might just find your signature scent.
