Prada Luna Rossa Black was released in 2018. It is based on amber, musk, vanilla, and woods. It lasts 7 hours on the skin with intimate projection.

What Does Prada Luna Rossa Black Smell Like?
The first blast is a fleeting and fresh aromatic warmth. The bergamot is present for a minute before falling away. Warm amber and woody Tonka Bean soon takes over.
In the beginning, the tonka bean has a sweet and vanilla accent. The first five minutes of the wear are a very alluring combination of notes.
After this period, amber and tonka bean strengthen. The amber is warm and deep, giving the scent depth. The vanillic tonka bean amplifies the depth of the fragrance.
The first hour, it is the focal point.
Into the dry-down, there is a drastic change. An intense musk note lingers in and works in equal parts with the warm amber. It pushes the woody tonka bean to the background, and the vanillic accords are powdery.
The rest of the wear is a dominant rich and dark musk and amber combination with the woody vanillic nuances in the background.

How Long Does Prada Luna Rossa Black Last?
Prada Black lasts six to eight hours on the skin with an intimate projection of one foot for the first couple of hours. Even in the heat, it doesn’t project further. It only gets more intense.
Typically, this light projection would be bad if you didn’t know its wearability. The amber and musk combination is very attractive. Making this a stellar fragrance for dates.
What Season is Prada Black Good For?
But it also has a classy aroma and light projection, making it wearable for all occasions. Hence, the intimate projection is a benefit.
It is less versatile for seasons. It needs the cool fall, winter, and early spring weather to tone down the intensity.
This is the type of fragrance that doesn’t project further with heat. It only gets more intense. Thus making it nauseating for you.
Does Prada Luna Rossa Black Get Compliments?
If the situations Prada Black is best worn for, don’t give it away. This is an extremely likable fragrance for both alluring attention and mass appeal. It’s unique, but no note in the fragrance makes it decisive.
Prada Luna Rossa Black Clone And Other Concentrations
Luna Rossa Black is a flanker from the Luna Rossa Line. The original is based on aromatics and lavender. It has a barbershop aroma. The Carbon, Sport, and Ocean flankers followed.
All slightly deviating from the Luna Rossa DNA. However, the Black version is the most unique as it is rich and warm for the cold weather. The others are warm-weather, or all-season focused.
The closest clone is Midnight in Paris Van Cleef & Arpels.
Both fragrances have amber accords that trump all other notes. However, Midnight in Paris has smoky leather and vanillic nuances. Whereas Luna Rossa Black has musk and wood as the secondary accords.
Is Prada Luna Rossa Black Discontinued?
Luna Rossa Black is not discontinued. In early 2023, it was difficult to find and was removed from Prada’s Official Website. However, at the time of writing, it is readily available on Prada’s official website.

Final Words
It’s easy to say Prada Luna Rossa Black is worth it as it is an outstanding fragrance for a reasonable price.
This is one of my favorite fragrances in the colder temperatures because it still carries the Prada gentleman class and sophistication while having a fun and alluring side.
Winter colognes often get carried away with sweet notes, which either come off as syrupy or too playful. Here it is done differently and focused on a masculine woody base.
The projection is a downfall for everyday wear, but it’s never been too much of a problem. Sometimes, it is nice to have a subtle ambiance rather than announcing my presence before I arrive.
