Homme Cologne.
Like a lemonade on a hot summer day.
Dior Homme Cologne was released in 2022. It is based on citruses and light musk. It lasts five hours with intimate projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Dior Homme Cologne Smell Like?
This is one of the simplest scents on the market. The beginning to end is straightforward. It only consists of 3 notes in the entire fragrance.
The opening is led by a big blast of citruses. In the scent profile, only bergamot is listed. Yet, it smells like cool and refreshing lemonade. Light florals linger in the background and amplify the freshness.
The dry down comes quickly and gets slightly tart/bitter. I attribute this mainly to the loss of the fleeting florals. When the florals leave, musk nuances fill the void. They are very clean, and the scent is mostly still about citruses.
Dior Homme Cologne notes:
- Bergamot
- Grapefruit Blossom
- Musk
Performance
Dior Homme Cologne lasts five hours on the skin with intimate projection. The projection is decent in the first 20 minutes because the citruses are strong. But after that, it sits closer to the skin.
The sillage is the same story. Very light and virtually non-existent. People have to hug you to smell this one. This performance is with five sprays.
As for wearability, it is exclusively summer and casual wear. This is laid back with no depth; not much else can be done with the scent. You’ll get two to three months of wear in a four-season climate.
Lastly, mass appeal and likability are excellent. This fragrance is exclusively citrus and musk. Nothing about it will come off as off-putting. As I mentioned earlier, it smells like refreshing lemonade on a hot summer day, and who doesn’t like fresh lemonade?
Dior Homme Cologne Clones
The most similar fragrance is the original Dior Home Cologne 2013, the one reviewed above is a reformulation. I won’t compare the two; the 2013 version is discontinued and only available for outrageous prices on eBay.
The best dupe is Jimmy Choo Man Ice. They are very similar, simple citrus and musk fragrances. However, Man Ice has a slight woody depth.
Final Words
The final burning question is, is Dior Homme Cologne worth it? This is a tough call, but yes. I know the performance and versatility are horrible. But the smell is excellent. I solely enjoy this because it is one of the most refreshing citrus fragrances I’ve ever smelt.
With this said, it’s not a must-have. It’s nice to have Dior Homme Cologne, but there are summer fragrances on the market that will do a similar job and are more versatile or affordable.
Homme Cologne is an excellent fragrance and a good one for the summer. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Homme Cologne. Check out the best Summer fragrances for men. All will shine in the warm weather – no pun intended; you might just find your signature scent.
