Dior Fahrenheit EDT

Dior Fahrenheit EDT Full Review – Everything You Need to Know

Fahrenheit.

A unique and masculine fragrance.

Dior Fahrenheit EDT was released in 1988. It’s based on leather, wood, and gasoline? It lasts 7 hours on the skin with above-average projection.

In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Dior Fahrenheit Smell Like?

The rumors are true; Fahrenheit opens with a dominant gasoline-type accord.

It settles down after a while but doesn’t detract from its accuracy. There aren’t actual gasoline notes. The violet leaf, various florals, soft leather, and dry woods make the smell. The violet leaf is the main culprit.

The leather becomes more prominent in the mid. To my nose, it adds a degree of sweetness. The gasoline accord is still present but has settled down and lost its intensity. Yet, it’s still dominant.

The violet leaf breaks away from the other top notes in the dry down.

It is paired with now strong leather and sprinkled with spices, white florals, and dry woods. The spices and florals balance out the leather accord, while the woody note gives the base depth.

Fahrenheit EDT Performance

Does Dior Fahrenheit Last Long?

The performance isn’t anything to write home about. It lasts seven hours on the skin with above-average projection.

It pushes out multiple feet for the first few hours and makes your presence known. Once the bulk of the violet leaf fades, so does much of the projection.

When Should I Wear Dior Fahrenheit EDT?

As for wearability, it can be difficult. The gasoline-type note can rub some noses the wrong way. And with the already decent projection, it can overwhelm in close-quarter settings.

So, it is all occasion wear but use your own discretion. And seasons are fall and winter, it needs cooler temperatures to temper its strength.

Is Dior Fahrenheit Seductive?

Fahrenheit is a unique scent. But this is a blessing and curse. As alluded to, the mass appeal and likability factor are up in the air. On one side, others or you will be turned off by the unique gasoline accord.

On the other hand, others and you may love the masculinity of the fragrance.

Dior Fahrenheit EDT Clones

There are two very similar fragrances to Fahrenheit EDT. The first is Dior Fahrenheit Aqua, a flanker of the one reviewed in this article.

It shares the same DNA but with a much heavier emphasis on citruses, greens, and aromatics. While the woody and leathery accords take the back seat.

Outside of the Fahrenheit line is Mercedes Benz Intense.

It is a happy medium between Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit Aqua. It still has a heavy woody note but replaces the leather accord for more prominent citruses and aromatics.

Is Dior Fahrenheit EDT Worth It?

Yes and no. It’s a Dior fragrance and comes with quality notes. In this case, it’s unique, setting itself apart from all other commonly worn men’s fragrances.

On the flip side, it’s a decisive aroma that you and many others may not like. It’s not a necessity in any collection, but still a decent fragrance.

If you’ve stumbled across Fahrenheit because you’re trying to spice up your collection, I recommend Tom Ford Ombre Leather instead. It’s slightly more expensive, but it is a more enjoyable scent.

If you can, try a sample or decant of Dior Fahrenheit EDT. And if you do, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
