The One EDT

The opening starts with fleeting fresh and citric grapefruit with an array of spices in the background. I mostly smell coriander as it is a fresher spice. Whereas the EDP version is all about warm and zingy ginger.

A sea of amber becomes present within a few minutes, pushing the citric nuances into the backseat. The heart has a transition of spices. Warm cardamom takes the lead with a supporting white floral orange blossom.

The spiciness recedes, leaving room for a prevalent tobacco note. It brings smoky faucets with it and soothes the entire base. The rest of the wear is amber with tobacco, cedar nuances, and fresh, spicy accents.

The longevity is in the three to four range. It is present for the first 30-45 minutes. After this period, it is a light scent/skin scent for the rest of the wear. This is exclusively fall and winter wear but for all occasions.

The One EDP

The opening is a fleeting citrus hit but is quickly overpowered by a tidal wave of warm spices. For the first two hours, spices dominate. Nuances of amber and tobacco are peaking in from the base but aren’t prevalent.

After two hours, the dry-down starts, which is the fragrance’s best part. At this point, you’ll understand why it’s a sexy fragrance.

The spices tone down, and amber and tobacco are in equal parts. There is some sweetness, but it is primarily warm and inviting. This trio dominates for the rest of wear and is why Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP is so popular.

The performance is not great, but it’s incredibly wearable. This lasts six hours on the skin with light to intimate projection for the entire wear.

On a date, you’ll be discovered, not announced. Allow her to get faint whiffs of the sexy smell and want to come closer. As for seasons, it is exclusively fall and winter wear but for all occasions.

Final Words

I won’t waste your time. The One EDP is by far the better choice. They are nearly the same scents, but the EDP has better performance. Even if you can find the EDT version for $10-$20 less, paying extra for the EDP version is worth it.

After you try Dolce and Gabbana The One EDT and/or EDP, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
