What Does Ralph Lauren Polo Deep Blue Parfum Smell Like?
The first spray is all about tropical and sweet mango. To the unsuspecting nose, this seems like the only note for the first 15 minutes. Yet, there are wafts of citric bergamot and grapefruit in the background.
They add a degree of tartness and stop the sweetness from becoming too much. The main idea of the opening is ultra-freshness.
Fresh aromatics ease their way in when the mango note settles. The aromatics become more prominent once it starts to weaken at the 15-minute mark.
They bring woody and aquatic accents, but neither are too present in the opening.
The addition of aromatics will soon bring warm ambroxan. It is not as rich and smooth as Sauvage but has the same likability factor. They pair most with the marine nuances; you’ll smell this duo’s aquatic ambery nature for hours.
The dry-down finishes similar. Fresh, aquatic ambroxan is the most prominent, with lingering aromatics and sweet fruit. This is what you’ll smell for the rest of the wear.

Polo Deep Blue Parfum lasts six to eight hours on the skin with slightly above-average projection. It pushes out multiple feet for the first 1 – 2 hours and leaves a solid scent trail.
However, after this period, it recedes closer to the skin, to almost an intimate projection.
It is primarily warm weather wear. This is particularly useful in the spring with its density and sweetness. As for occasions, it can be worn for everything but formal events.
For example, it doesn’t have the “oomph factor” or class that would make you stand out at a work party. Yet, it still has the likability of an affordable summer date night scent.
This is partly because it is a unique fragrance. The aromatic, green, and fresh accords are all too familiar. Yet, the initial opening with the tropical sweetness is different.
Lastly, is it likable, and does it attract attention? Deep Blue Parfum is an inoffensive scent of sweetness and fresh aromatic accords.
It would be a difficult scent for someone to have a strong dislike of – unless it were applied too heavily.

The box is dark blue on the edges, light blue in the center, and has silver writing. The ingredients are on the side of the box. The batch code is on the bottom of both the box and bottle.

Polo Deep Blue Parfum is newer release of 2020. It was perfumed by Carlos Benaim. It is kind for the brand as it has no flankers. It can be confusing at times as there is also a “polo blue” line.
My Experience with Ralph Lauren Polo Deep Blue Parfum
All of the above information is my experience with Deep Blue Parfum.
However, I keep it as objective as possible. This way, you can objectively decide if this is a fragrance you want to purchase or if you’re comparing a few fragrances. Thus, this section is my subjective opinion.
Before I purchased Polo Deep Blue Parfum, I didn’t know what to think. Yet, the first spray was very enjoyable. The tropical fruit opening sets itself apart from other blue fragrances because of its uniqueness.
The only downfall is that it is slightly synthetic. But not to the degree of being cheap.
Besides this minor downfall, Polo Deep Blue Parfum is one of the most underrated fragrances from the Ralph Lauren brand, as it has what it takes to compete with the top designer blue fragrances.
