Blue Jeans.

Versace’s most old-school fragrance.

Versace Blue Jeans was released in 1994. It is based on aromatics, spices, and woods. It lasts six hours on the skin with light projection. In this review, I will describe its smell and performance and if it’s worth it.

What Does Versace Blue Jeans Smell Like?

A lot is going on in the opening, but do you know the most interesting part? There is a spicy cola-type feel. The first few minutes fizzle and sparkle off the skin.

The citruses are loudest, and the tinge of aromatics gives it the herbal and fizzling feel. From the start, the main idea is fresh and clean. But it doesn’t take long before the citruses get the boot.

Florals crash in, and for a large part of the wear, it is just florals and aromatics. This turns the scent greener and cranks up the herbal spice smell.

At the same time, the florals are generic. They are never flowery but simple and clean.

What happens in the base? All notes from before condense into a fresh herbal nature with new smells of vanilla and a woody depth for the rest of the wear.

Versace Blue Jeans Performance

How Long Does Versace Blue Jeans Last?

Blue Jeans routinely lasts six hours on the skin. The projection is moderate to light. It pushes out two to three feet in the first hour before receding closer to the skin. This performance is with five sprays.

Fortunately, you can overspray this, and it won’t be a big deal.

What Season is Versace Blue Jeans For?

This is great for spring, summer, and fall wear. I’ve tried it on cold winter days, and it developed correctly, but the performance plummeted to only a few hours. You’ll get seven to eight months of wear if you live in a four-season climate.

As for occasions, this is all. Blue Jeans isn’t great at anything, but it is an affordable throwback fragrance with subtle projection. Have fun and wear this when you want.

Is Versace Blue Jeans Popular?

Despite this being a Versace fragrance and old. This is not that popular. Many people know about it, but not many people wear it. If you’re looking for an affordable signature scent, this could be a decent option.

Lastly, mass appeal and likability are average. This fragrance is intriguing because it’s old-school. But there’s nothing about it that attracts attention.

If you’re looking for a fragrance that garners a ton of compliments, this is not a great choice.

Why is Versace Blue Jeans So Cheap?

On all websites, you’ll be able to find Blue Jeans for about $30.

From a brand of Versace’s Stature, why is it so cheap? First, many Versace fragrances are decently affordable. Once they hit discounters, their price is drastically cut. The second is that it’s old.

This is one of, if not the oldest, Versace still in production. After 30 years, the hype has faded, and retailers can no longer command the same price.

Does its low price mean poor quality? No. It is not as quality as the Eros fragrances, but it never smells synthetic.

Is Versace Blue Jeans Worth It?

Yes. Versace Blue Jeans is a good fragrance. It is average in everything, but only about $20 – $30 wherever you can find it. Not only do I enjoy this scent and the price point, but I also love the bottle. Is it 90s memorabilia?

In short, Versace Blue Jeans is a good fragrance and worth checking out.

Blue Jeans is an excellent cologne and a popular Versace fragrance. Yet, don’t just limit yourself to Blue Jeans. Check out the best Versace colognes for men. All are quality and affordable; you might just find your signature scent.
