How Does Xerjoff Describe It?
Here is the product description, ” Inspired by the ancient Arabian art of perfumery, Alexandria II is a scent steeped in history and rich culture. Alexandria II Xerjoff opens with fruity hints of apple that meet floral lavender and rosewood, it leads to a classically oriental heart of cedar wood, lily of the valley, and Bulgarian rose.”
What Does Xerjoff Alexandria II Smell Like?
The opening starts with equal parts authentic lavender and spicy cinnamon. It almost smells like cola at first without the fizzy nature.
After the first few minutes, a deep, dark woody oud pushes its way to the forefront.
After 15 – 20 minutes, the powderiness of the lavender comes through. Cinnamon has receded into the background. The woody accords got more prominent. Settling in nicely and having a better balance than the first few minutes.
As the mid develops, all I smell is the highest quality oud. It is slightly damp, earthy, and haylike. Yet, it never comes across as dirty.
The scent does not change much. The rest of the wear is an intense woody oud note with a subtle warm vanilla note in the background.

Alexandria II Performance
How Long Does Alexandria II Last?
This is one of the best parts of the fragrance. Alexandria II lasts 12+ hours on the skin and has excellent projection. This will push out multiple feet for hours and never become a skin scent.
It’s what some may call “beast mode.” This excellent performance hinders its wearability.
Is Alexandria II a Summer Fragrance?
It is almost exclusively a fall and winter wear. The early spring is a maybe, but the day would have to be just right. This is a show-stopper for special events but struggles to be useful for many other occasions.
It would be an expensive everyday wear. Yet, you could run errands in this and be the best-smelling grocery shopper ever. Thus, this is not an office-safe scent either, especially if you’re in a cubicle-type setting.
Is Alexandria II Unique?
The best part of this fragrance is its uniqueness. The opening’s wood, lavender, and cinnamon mixture is like no other. As it develops, it becomes more wood-focused.
However, the quality and smell are spot on.
I’ve seen Alexandria II on “the most attractive scents” lists. But it would never be included in mine. It’s not a fragrance that turns heads but is alluring from its unique and charming nature.
Is Xerjoff Alexandria II Worth It?
This is a must if you’re really into quality and perfumes as an art form. However, if you’re not a “niche aficionado,” then you can pass. A 100mL bottle costs about $595 from the Xerjoff official website.
The performance is outstanding, and the smell is ultra-unique.
However, beyond these two points, it’s a hard sell. This review provides everything you need to know about Alexandria II so you can make an objective decision for yourself.
Yet, I struggle to see how the average man or woman can get their money’s worth from Alexandria II.

History
From Xerjoff, “Founded in 2006, the Xerjoff brand was launched by Sergio Momo with the aim of blending the most luxurious materials to complement the most affluent global lifestyles through the combination of old-world craftsmanship, rare raw materials, and a contemporary artistic sensibility.”
Alexandria II was released in 2012 and quickly grew in popularity. Alexandria II has three other flankers: Alexandria III, Alexandria Orientale, and Alexandria Imperiale.
All of these have a similar effect. They differ only in the dominant accords they focus on.
My Experience with Xerjoff Alexandria II
All of the above information is my experience with Xerjoff Alexandria II.
However, I keep it as objective as possible. This way, you can objectively decide if this is a fragrance you want to purchase or if you’re comparing a few fragrances. Thus, this section is my subjective opinion.
Alexandria II was the first fragrance I owned, that I didn’t care what others thought because I loved it so much.
Yes, previous fragrances I wore for myself, but this one smells like a piece of art. It’s bold, classy, and quality, all in the best form.

Conclusion
There’s no denying that Xerjoff Alexandria II is ultra-quality, luxurious, and classy. It is a 1:1 scent that’ll make you stand out. I don’t recommend this as a blind buy and suggest you get a decant or order a sample kit.
It’s unlikely, but sometimes Alexandria II doesn’t blend with everyone’s skin chemistry. I’d hate to see you spend that much money only to have it not work.
In short, one of the highest-quality fragrances but hard to wear and expensive.
